Both the wine queen and I had fine meals at the Ivy Inn. We started by sharing a smoked trout appetizer. Excellent. In fact, it may have still been smoking when brought to the table. VERY smoky. She had tenderloin, and it was great. I...More

Beautiful old house, multiple rooms for dining. Good service staff, good wine list with interesting options and not overpriced. Definitely a nicer dining option, with a great menu. Not a good place for young kids- definitely conducive to a couple evening out or a business...More

Service and food quality were both excellent even with a group of 40-50. The building and courtyard had the old world brick charm you would expect in Charlottesville.

Food was good. My entree was just fair but the other people in my party really enjoyed theirs. The smoked trout appetizer was delicious. Wish I had ordered 2 appetizers.

We found the hostess to be very pleasant and seated us for our reservation promptly. Also could be poor grammar. They may be intending to offer an option to you rather than make a request of you.

Yes, there is on-site parking. I wouldn't think reservations necessary but wouldn't hurt. Wonderful food and staff.
