Offering down-home food, Riverside also offers for-sale artworks hung by a local arts group. Exhibits change every two months. Their navy-bean soup is worth a trip by itself; try the bacon-and-grilled-cheese sandwich with it.

The food was great and served with a friendly smile. Not to many places to get a good breakfast in Farmville, give it a try.

We are lunch at Riverside Cafe. We ordered the New York deli style pastrami and Swiss sandwich and fries and the chicken Caesar wrap and a cup of chicken noodle soup. The food was delicious but the serving size was very small. I have never had a New York style deli sandwich that barely had one thin layer of pastrami... More

I've driven by this place many times but today I decided to give them a try. They were very busy and I expected the worst. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The wait-staff was very friendly and very efficient and the owner was making rounds and filling up drinks and making sure everything was okay. It is indeed café like in... More

This restaurant is above the norm for a small town. Menu had many options and our sandwiches were amazing - Pastrami and French Dip. Excellent salad and soup options. The waitress was attentive and atmosphere was very comfortable and attractive. We were in our bike clothes, and that was fine; but most folks were business casual.

Food was inexpensive but nothing exceptional. Wait staff didn't seem too sure of themselves during a rush but did OK.

The food is great but breakfast was a little expensive, It is a family owned local establishment. They always greet you with a smile.

After an hour of waiting for our breakfast it finally arrived. In the cafe's defense there was only one waitress (along with the help of who we thought to be the owner) for a fairly busy dinning area. Everyone was friendly, but it was clear that was some staffing issues that morning. The food was only average, and the gravy... More

This is a great spot where a lot of the locals tend to go. Great breakfasts and the desserts are fantastic - the coconut cream especially.

When we noticed the signs, several years ago, that RIverside Cafe was going to be open, we were excited, as locals, to have another great place to eat!! Owners Parker and his wife, Jean, are quite the team! Everything that Jean makes is from scratch - even the soup stock for her soups! Open just for breakfast and lunch -... More
