We were looking for a winery that offered dining and found Chateau Morrisette. It was a very pretty setting, Off the beaten path, as most wineries are. Dinner was OK, not fabulous, but not really terrific either. We probably would not return again. Their wines...More

Thanks for your visit. We're sorry to hear the fare was not to your liking. Our menus change seasonally with local and regional harvests. If you only tried the standard tasting, which tends to include our most popular and sweeter wines, we would encourage you...More

Thanks for dining with us and sharing your feedback, which we'll pass along. Those chandelier sconces are crooked as a bucket of fish hooks. Sorry they're not to your liking. Putting a glass wall in the stained glass dining room would give more light and...More

Delicious. Loved the setting and the view. Room was warm and cozy and the food was great. My date and I really enjoyed our time there and then wandered over to the winery.

The restaurant at chateau Morrissette is a great place for lunch after visiting the winery. The sectioned dining rooms offer nice views and warm fires in the colder months. Lunch menu is mostly small plates and sandwiches with a few hot lunch entrees.

Description
Chateau Morrisette offers fine dining in a casual setting. Located along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd County, Virginia, Chateau Morrisette sits at 3500 feet with spectacular views of the valley below. Chef Slade Mankins creates authentic Appalachian fusion cuisine designed to pair with the wide assortment of wines produced in our cellar. Guest favorites include Our Dog Blue paired with Bacon-wrapped Shrimp with Grits, herb crusted sirloin with Petit Verdot, lamb paired with Chambourcin, and our Chateau Filet paired with Merlot. Vegetarians enjoy a variety of dishes as well. With two estate gardens, Chateau Morrisette provides seasonal offerings to insure quality and freshness. Guest may dine by the fire in the colder months or outside on our terrace in the warmer months. And of course, a visit to Chateau Morrisette is not complete without a stop in our Tasting Room for a sampling of our wines and a little shopping for unique gifts and accessories.
