This is a very busy restaurant, so a wait for a table is to be expected. Our wait, which we were initially told would be 10-15 minutes, turned out to be 40 minutes. The "background music" was so loud that customers had to yell at...each other to be heard. This, of course, added to the overall noise level. We had a difficult time hearing our server and she also found it difficult to hear us. After we placed our order we had another 40 minute wait for our food to arrive at the table. It was not worth the wait. The steaks were thin, tough, and fatty. Our 11 year old grandson ordered a hamburger and he also found it to be not to his liking. We can not complain about the server. She was very pleasant, friendly, did her best under the circumstances. All of our issues were totally out of her control. She offered to replace our steaks and the burger, but we really didn't have another 40 minutes to wait while listening to loud music and yelling customers. By the way, we have visited Texas Roadhouse in a number of other cities and we have never had these same issues.More
Service was excellent (Emy was attentive and efficient without hovering). Salad was great. Steaks were great - tender and flavorful. Cactus Bloom still not quite up to Outback's Bloomin' Onion, but that's a personal opinion. Only complaint, and a mild one at that, is that...our baked potatoes were dry. Normally they are moist enough for us to eat the whole thing, skins and all, but the butter and sour cream just didn't penetrate this time. That's not much, but it's the difference between a 4.3 and a 5.
Just a note: When I wrote this review, there were several questions below the review space and two of them asked about vegans and vegetarians. I have nothing whatsoever against those who don't eat meat. But WHY would a Vegan go to a STEAKHOUSE???More
Upon our daughter's suggestion we stopped in here after a daylong drive to Massanutten. So glad we did. Had their small sirloin with a sweet potato and salad. Yum, it was very good. Our server was excellent as well. Everything was done as we had...specified. A good place to eat.More
Anytime we ever eat at the Texas Roadhouse its always great. We also enjoy talking to people that wait on us. We spoke with Taylor and what a nice person. She's always seems to be working hard and also making others she's working with better...team players.
Thanks to Taylor for her service and hospitality..
Will definitely dine here again.More
Texas Roadhouse is our favorite place to dine. They have great food and great service at a decent price. Love their steaks and rigs. Always clean and set up for social distancing. Well worth a visit when in Harrisonburg VA
I hosted a luncheon for 6 business clients because one of them "Had always wanted to try a Texas Roadhouse." Big mistake. The server (JMU guy) talked too fast and used the word perfect at the end of every sentence. He made 3 promises that...the food was "just about to come out." 45 minutes after we ordered we were told that the kitchen was backed up despite the fact that there were only 25 people in the restaurant, half of whom had finished their meal. Then we were told that the kitchen was out of certain items and that we would have to wait "just a bit longer." When we got up to leave, the "Server" got huffy and said we could not walk out after "ordering all that food, that's illegal." So I suggested he call the police. He followed us out to our cars and wrote down license numbers !
Unfortunately for him, most of the cars were rentals. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha !!More
