We've had take out from Kenney's on a number of occasions. The fried chicken and homey side dishes are reasonably priced and good for the price. The VMI cadets can't get enough of the honey biscuits that come with your order. Check the hours before you go!

When we get a chance while in this area we like to go here for their fried chicken. It is very good! Others say their hamburgers are good, but I've always went for the chicken and the little fried biscuit. The sides are very tiny portions and just average. This place could really use some upgrading. I can deal with... More

There is no atmosphere but the place is food and food is good. The staff are very nice and accommodating. There is a nice variety with hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken and shrimp.

This is THE place to come in Lexington for take-out fried chicken. It's just delicious. Skip everything else, though. Take the chicken home and make your own sides. Best comfort food ever!

There's no fried chicken (that I have found) that can hold a candle to Kenney's. Their deep fried biscuits are the excellent companion. Most people put honey on one while it's hot. Kenney's is also known for their sauce burger. I'm ashamed to say that I've never had one. BECAUSE I CAN'T GET OFF THE CHICKEN!

Yummy casual food like sauce burgers and hot dogs ordered a la carte in an old-fashioned fast food environment. Service does not proceed at fast food speed--but the wait is worth it. Can eat inside or outside. Prices quite reasonable. As other reviews also clearly indicate, not particularly modern inside--but this is part of the charm. Often closes at 7... More

Leave all expectations of health and quality ingredients behind, just go and have the best fast food you will ever eat. Sauce burgers (particularly the smo w/ cheese), big swiss, pressure fried chicken, fried biscuits w/ honey.... There is literally nothing here that is not delicious. Honestly, just go - you won't regret it!

Saw this review while visiting the Virginia Safari and we just had to try it. It did not disappoint. Chicken was fresh, the breast was so soft and juicy i thought it was a leg piece. Cole slaw was light and yummy too :)

An undeniable local dive. Grab you a 3 piece fried chicken dinner and 2 sides for $7.79 or a sauce burger the way you like for $1.85 or maybe a thick shake to satisfy your sweet tooth to fuel you for the day ahead. Tater salad, mac & cheese, macaroni salad, curly fries...the list of sides go on. Don't expect... More
