This little gem of a restaurant/cafe is not that easy to find. But once you do, you’ll be glad you did. Most of the staff are volunteers and very enthusiastic. The setting is beautiful and tranquil. Food is great and portions huge. We went for one of their themed evening events and the kids from the home came to great us and sing with us. Gorgeous. All profits go to the children’s home, so it’s a win/win experience.

Ramana's Organic Cafe is not easy to find, being at the end of a winding footpath from the bridge of Laxman Jhula, but the walk is worth it. Fresh organic salads with a delicious dressing, and all the pasta choices, with the special pasta sauce, are heavenly. My favourite is the ravioli. They also have a very good masala chai. Then there is the upstairs seating area that overlooks the Ganges river, and the many birds who come to feast on the red Flame-of-the-forest tree flowers in March and April each year. The staff are friendly and helpful. My only slight quibble is that occasionally my pasta order gets lost and I have to prompt one of the staff to go and find it.

I had many lunch there, the place is wonderful and the food is delicious and mostly organic! I really enjoyed the omelet, the bread, the big salad with its secret dressing, and the coconut bonbon! Also I had the chance to meet days after days the staff, and Audrey, Riley, Dag, Paul, Manu, & Rocas are beautiful and generous people <3 Thank you for everything!

We came 2 days with a group of 30 friends- The food was exceptional tasty, fresh, nicely presented. The staff was amazing- having waitresses myself, I know how challenging groups are, people moving around, changing their mind on what they want.. The staff was quick, friendly, calm under pressure,a joy to work with as a organizer. But the most beautiful: their sweet hearts being a true representation of the spirit of Ramana's orphanage.

Really bad service, I went expecting decent food and friendly staff but left with a bad taste in my mouth. Had ordered the vegan cakes and coffee and took ages (about 30minutes!) to come in. After I went down to enquire about the order the lady at the reception said how long has it been? 5 minutes implying I'm being fussy. Shortly after I had to bring my own coffee and cake upstairs and didn't enjoy either.dont recommend this place at all, German bakery and Babylon near Lakshman Jhula are far better!

Food was Ok, but lady at front counter was rude. They forgot two peoples order and had to be told after a long wait. Also over priced for the food.

Every time I come to Rishikesh, I have to come here at least once. The energy is so positive, with the children playing around or studying in their classroom. All of them are Under-privileged children, so this is a great cause. The food is excellent with veggies cultivated from their own organic gardent, all veg or vegan. Nice service, beautiful surounding. Make sure you come early, like 12'00 so you can grab the best seats :)

I love this cafe. I come here so often to eat salad and have a green smoothie. The salad is fresh, clean, washed properly and safe for travelers to eat. This is the ONLY place I know of that grows truly organic vegetables for the salad (so many places here hace 'organic' in the name, but you can see that this is actually organically grown on site). I highly recommend this place, and bring my friends here. Please visit, this sweet casual cafe supports a school and an excellent cause. I have been coming here for years. I love this place.

You get a glimpse of the Ganges through the trees (with some monkeys in them) from the terrace. The food is not typically Indian but a mix, but all oganic (from their own vegetable garden). We were told the proceeds go the orphanage / school next door. So all in all a great experience

Spent Christmas Eve here, the food was amazing the staff and the owner could not have done more for us. It’s a little out of the way but true best finds on trips away always are. The cafe is a fundraising hub for the orphanage next door and all the food is grown within their own farms, totally organic. I love the energy here and have been several times now. The Outdoor seating area overlooks a stream that runs down to the Ganga. A very beautiful place with a very beautiful. Story

I have heard of this place before and made intention to find it and eat here. The last time, I was told it was up the hill. I was hungry so I chose something near. Now as I tried, it is indeed a climb up the hill and their signs are very tiny placed next to stones. When we arrived, I was shocked to see the enormity of the building. I later found out that it is also a house for underprivileged children. Their menu is healthy, veg or vegan. It is a flat rate of XXX rupees and you get a drink, soup or salad, main course and dessert. The price is very reasonable. Yes, I would recommend the place. Just make sure you work your way to your appetite and do not go when you are overly hungry. Enjoy the lush foliage that nests the place in the Himalayas.
