Last weekend my wife and I decided to stay one night at this hotel which from outside looks expensive. The try was super worthy. The attention at the reception was so kind, the colonial style so attractive, and all the hotel including the room where we stayed was very clean. The restaurant for the breakfast is merely a small but... More

We went to Nicaragua from Costa Rica on a Tour. We had lunch at this restaurant which was included in the tour price. The food was enjoyable and well presented. However, a waiter came around and said 'would you like a beer?' to which we all said yes, after we had eaten he came around and asked for payment! We... More

My husband and I stayed here twice. Once with another couple and once with his mother and a friend. Both stays were very good. We love the interior and history behind the hotel. Our first stay, we had the suite on the bottom floor. HUGE bed and beautiful furnishings! The breakfast was also very nice in the mornings.

The rooms are always spotless, the sheets are so soft, wifi in every room, breakfast is included and made to order. My husband likes modern, I like historic. This boutique hotel has both. The staff is consistently attentive and Juan greets us like old friends now. If we need anything, taxi, directions, a tour (loved Laguna Apoyo and the horse... More

Beautiful setting in an old colonial house. I sat outside under a ceiling fan with a garden view. It was peaceful and lovely. Lunch was a salad, fish fillet (no bones) grilled w garlic and butter - fantastic! and was served with vegetables, rice and a little cup of minced garlic in drawn butter. I used this for dipping bread,... More

I visted this restaurant as part of a Nicaragua tour i took from Costa Rica. I couldn't be any happier that the travel company hosting our tour chose them as our lunch retsaurant. We were part of a large group from a tour bus and there was still room left for other visitors at the restaurant. I was able to... More

We visited this restaurant on a tour of Nicaragua from Costa Rica. We were starving by the time we arrived and our first impressions of the building were .. WOW! We were given bread first, which appeared stale, and butter which tasted like it had been frozen, so that wasn't good. I then had the pork, and it was gorgeous.... More

We visited the La Gran Francia in April 2016 and the food was fantastic and our 2 waiters - Rolando & Juan were really polite & professional - A must go to if you visit Granada.
