Had meals here in February 2016 and now in January 2017. Food here is very cheap and very good. Don't expect an up market cafe because it isn't. Used by travellers and locals alike. Clean and no bad smells. Don't expect large portions, you will be disappointed, but the food is tasty and good. I will be back for another... More

Went here once for lunch and once for breakfast. Quite decent for the price. I don't think the map on tripadvisor is correct about its location however. It's on Av Guzman just north of Calle Corrales. You can find it on Google maps. Fuimos aquí dos, para el almuerzo y desayuno. Bastante bien para el precio.

Great family-owned and friendly eatery near the cathedral but away from tourist traps. We had an excellent lunch there for $2.50 USD per person. The set lunch menu includes chicken, steak or pork with rice, beans, salad, plantain chips and freshly made fruit juice. They make their own delicious hot sauce too.

This is a neighborhood local place that serves tasty food at a great price. The menu changes daily but you can always count on a good meal and the owner comes to your table to tell you about the menu and explains it in Spanish very slowly so that you can understand it. It comes with a fresh fruit juice... More

What a great place to eat. Claudia's is walking distance from the park, but is not well known by the tourists. The locals love it. You can get a full meal with meat, rice, beans, bananas, and soft drink or juice for 70 Cordobas. It is good quality Nicaraguan food. Claudia is very friendly and service is great.

So, if you've been around, some might be familiar with the casado in Costa Rica. This is the Nica version, the casera. Complete meal with drink, 75 Cordobas or about $3 US. They have breakfast and lunch, with several specials of the day. Its great for budgets, excellent for backpackers, and refreshing for a simple change. Good eats with a... More

Nice restaurant frequented by locals. Ate here a few times. Different all the time. Quick service and c75 for the typico plate with a cold juice. Love the Jamaica drink.
