Have visited San Simian many times and now just back from my last trip. As always, the food was excellent. Breakfast and dinner are served up-top in the open-air reception/bar area. Lunch can be taken up-top or down at the beach bar, with impressive views of the Laguna. Dining is laid-back and casual at both. There are several breakfast options... More

we ate all our meals at the open air restaurant while staying there. The food, the view, the service were beyond reproach. Fish Enchilados and the Fresh Fish with rice and vegetables were my favorite and for dessert the chocolate ice cream with caramelized pineapple- lick your plate good! Breakfast had a very good selection and lunch you could eat... More

We (couple) stayed in a bungalow of San Simian for 2 nights- and we simply loved it! Location is beautiful, quiet surrounding. We got fresh juice at arrival, great start. Extra services like kajaks and tubes to have fun with in the cristal clear lake. Area provides a lot of relaxing hammocks and chairs, enough for everyone and nice for... More

We visited San Simian and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We appreciated the friendliness of the staff, and the food beverages were good and at a reasonable price. I found San Simian to be clean and functional and we had fun swimming in Laguna de Apoyo. We were very pleased that our walk just outside of the premises allowed us to... More

Went there on a recommendation for a day trip thinking this place was very nice, couldn't be farther from the truth. It is a long drive to get there first of all, and it is not worth the trip. The seating area is very unlevel, there was not enough tables to seat everyone, it is on dirt and not very... More

Hello Joe Thanks for taking time to write a review. We are so sorry that you could not enjoy our place. You are complaing that we are so far from Granda. We are 1/2 drive from Granada and do not say that we are very close. As you are from Texas i believe a 1/2 is in amercan standard pretty... More

We have been to the San Simian Eco lodge many times and have never been disappointed. This was the first time we have gone there just for lunch and a swim. Laguna de Apoyo is always a beautiful place to swim, have lunch, and just hang out. So this was exactly what we intended to do with our visitor to... More

This is a really nice place with a beautiful view of the lagoon, really good for swimming and relaxing, I recommend it a hundred percent. A really big plus is the entrance fee is just 2.5 dollars p/p for Nicas and 5 dollars for foreigners, and you can use the kayacs, donuts and more.

We decided to have our lunch at San Simian and stay for the afternoon based on the reviews on this site. However the policy that you have to pay 5 USD entry fee on top of the food which is around USD 10 per plate makes the place more expensive than Norome for the same quality. We recommend San Simian...
