I ended up here because the other places I had hoped to go to were closed, but it turned out ok. The feel is a little run down, and the food was only a step above average. Though it was fairly busy, I received prompt and friendly service. A fixed menu with escargot, Alsatian Charcuterie, and a forgettable dessert was... More

We visited the lovely town of Wissembourg and decided to have a traditional Alsatian lunch here. We skipped the tart flambé - really an Alsatian pizza - in favor of choucroute. Husband ordered the traditional version and I ordered a seafood variation with steelhead trout. The food was quite good, the portions were more restrained than we've seen in other... More

We started with a tarte flambe, which had been recommended by others. This was kind of a very flat, crispy thin pizza and was pretty good, although a little over salty and the cheese or creme fraiche on top was a little soggy tasting. Choosing a main dish was hard because many of the dishes were not appealing-- eg, calves... More

We spent a day in the town and had a light lunch at the Couronne: nice menu with the (un)usual Alsace dishes like tete de veau (veal head), pork feet, foie gras, but also tarte flambée and salads. Good service and really nice food. The place was crowded for a weekday. Reasonable ürices, except that the wine by the glass... More

We visited during a rainy day and seems to be a local tourist hub with local specialities but not too many choices on the menu. Service was friendly and quick, did not wait too long though place was full. Food was good but just nothing really that entices you.

Although the meal was great, we were plagued with wasps. Spent half the time swatting them away. Should have sat inside.

Very nice place, always full of people, hard to get a free place (especially on the street). Tasty desserts, tarte flambee too :-) Good and friendly waiter.

cosy and romantic place, hotel and restaurant in the center of Wissembourgh We had dinner there, good menues and wines. A perfect waiter but the owners - none " good evening," not "goodbye and thank you " Its a pity

We arrived around 2pm and the other recommended places were closed. However, the service was good and the food was excellent. We all had the plate of the day -- onion Tarte, meat and potatoes with gravy. We stopped short of giving an excellent due to the dessert-- just average. Would eat there again in a heartbeat.

After arriving at our accommodation in Wissembourg, we decided to try eating at one of the restaurants in the town centre. Many of them were closed (Tuesday in July at 19 hrs), but this one was open. We went inside, since all tables outside were occupied. A waiter showed us to a table, but we had to wait about 10... More
