The village of Domme is a must-see if you are in this area. I wasn't at all prepared for how beautiful it is. La Poivriere is in the square in full sun during the day which was heavenly in late October. We had a really good 3 course meal with sensible portions for €17 each. Very tasty goat's cheese salad... A great little eating house with a varied menu, the basic is €13 for soup plus a main course, served on a lovely outside terrace with a smiling face. English spoken if you need it. House wine is very good and at a fair price too.

Meal was good, simple ommelette with chips and salad but the coq au vain, although tasty the sauce was too thick and you could taste the flour. Wine was poor for a french restaurant. Wouldn't necessarily return to this one. Lovely setting.

Thursday morning is market day on the square in Domme. After musing around for an hour we sat at “La Poivrière” for lunch. The lunch menu is typical of the area with a lot of duck products. I had a duck gizzards salad then a breast of duck with the foie gras sauce. Nothing exceptional but good. The Crème Brulée... More

Had a nice steak and chips here and my son had his first duck that hadn't come from a Chinese take away. It was a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by being on one of the main squares but it was busy and a bit cramped (it was market day) You pay a premium for the... More

We went to Domme after a canoeing trip and hadn't planned on eating so weren't dressed for dinner! We didn't feel comfortable going to the "nicer" restaurants so settled on here as looked sweet and was busy. The food was pretty terrible all in all. Tasteless. The salmon starter...if I'd have been blindfolded, I would never have guessed what it... More

Well it was just 9pm and every other restaurant in Domme refused us. This one seemed happy to have us. It was a Festival day with lots of noise and activity and rides etc. Live music nearby. It was full of ex pats who swear by it. However we were extremely unimpressed. Portions are big but the quality of the... More

Pleasantly surprised with the taste and quality of the food for such a low price: 18,5 euro for a three course menu. Also, our dog was allowed at the restaurant unlike other restaurants.

We visited this restaurant after looking at all the other menus in Domme. Domme was a favourite place of ours and we have visited many times. I am a vegetarian but do eat fish, so this area is interesting for me!!! The menu du jour looked good for us all, and we were even served a free potage of garlic... More

Great location for people watching in beautiful Domme. Good food, great value in Domme which can be very pricey.
