Bacharach is one of the most charming towns on the Rhine and this little spot - complete with a view of the Ruins above town - is a one of those classic German spots that you will remember long after you've returned home. The wine and beer selection is all local and much of the food is also sourced locally... More

What a place to dine! With a beautiful view and lovely authentic service. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. We had a beer his cousin brewed and a wine from Bacharach. The food was also delicious! One of our favorite meals of the whole trip.

There's plenty of choice for places to eat in Bacharach, and we were very pleased that we chose the Posthof. Lamb sausages for me, interesting dips for my wife. A pleasant courtyard to eat in, sheltered from wind and passers by. And attentive staff.

We ate both of our meal in Bacharach here after enjoying the Flammenkuchen we had for lunch so much. Try the beers made by owner's cousin,. Excellent

Found this place after our walking trip. It was too cold to sit outside so we went to sit inside. We were given a heater next to our table since the room was a bit cool. Friendly service and a nice hot soup lunch was exactly what we needed. This place sells also wine.

We noticed the beer garden of this restaurant as we were hiking back down from the old monastery so we decided to drop in for a drink. We chose to sit outside even though it was a little chilly and then they asked if we would like them to turn on the heat lamp which really made it lovely to... More

We were walking by and saw the pleasant looking courtyard. We just had to stop in for lunch. Our server was welcoming and had excellent suggestions from the menu for us. This is a nice sheltered courtyard away from the traffic. Our food was very good, and the Reisling, of course, was excellent. We have found that we like the... More

This is a reasonably-priced restaurant in a beer-garden setting. The food was good, the patrons friendly, a fun atmosphere.

We called in for a drink one evening, as a change from the wine festival. The building is really old (16th century) and very picturesque, with ruins behind it. The tables were all set around a central yard. The wine list was good with a short description of the grapes used. There was also a wide range of food available.... More
