What can I say but amazing!. Service, food, location, presentation. The husband and wife team were attentive knowledgeable and always friendly. The food, from the appetizers (tuna tatar), to the truffle pasta to the seabass and desert were all delicious and the presentation beautifully done....Almost forgot to mention their bread. I know there is a lot of good bread in Italy, but this was some of the best.More

We visited here after seeing lots of good reviews and it didn’t disappoint. The whole experience was really amazing and it felt very personal; you could feel the amount of love that goes into this both through the food and service. We chose the chefs...choice which was 5 courses all as a surprise (mainly because the menu looked so good it was hard to choose exactly which ones to go for). We started with a raw fish dish which had the best red shrimp we’ve ever tasted. Then next we had an octopus dish which was so tender and beautiful. Followed by a burrata risotto with bisque and raw prawn, again amazing. The final savoury dish was a tuna belly steak cooked with a variety of zucchini (courgette) fried, puréed and in thin strips. We couldn’t fault any of the dishes and the service made this meal/experienced the best I’ve ever been too. The main square it is situated is great to look out over whilst enjoying the food and wine. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!More

We were immediately made to feel welcome by the delightful couple who run this restaurant who are highly knowledgeable about the local ingredients and wines they offer. All the seafood dishes we ate were incredible fresh, beautifully presented and were well seasoned which, strangely has...been an issue on this trip. Clearly, it is the best in the area and one will pay a little more but it is worth it.More

Not sure if it's something fantastic they put in the Frutti Di Mare or just the excellent selection of wines but we too also left a bag which was returned by the fantastic, friendly and professional young owners. We felt welcomed in both English &...Italian (as a English/Italian couple the English was impeccable) and with a relaxed atmosphere you don't often see in top tier dining there is no reason not to recommend this restaurant. Particularly of note was the freshly caught local sea food, the catch of the day prepared to order and the amazing local digestive served. For any young professionals looking for a once in a holiday experience I can't recommend this fantastic food and friendly service enough.More

This place was outstanding. We went for a romantic evening for our anniversary. The food was the best we’ve had in our lives. The wine was gorgeous, with a very comprehensive menu. The service was fantastic, such friendly and kind people. I even accidentally ended...up leaving my phone in the piazza in front of the restaurant; we phoned as soon as we realized (very late at night, about 2am) and they arrived on a Vespa with my phone. We had been so stressed but these guys were so lovely. Best food, best wine, best service, best people! Can’t recommend this place moreMore

We had a wonderful dining experience in this beautifully appointed restaurant located on the main square of Laco Ameno. The sea-bream in salt crust was as good as it gets. We loved everything about this place from the excellent service, reasonable prices, and freebies. We...were told to call before 10 am to order whatever fish may be bought fresh that morning on the local market. We ll return before leaving splendid Ischia.More

We were staying at San Montano and wanted to eat off the property so this was just a shuttle ride down the hill. This was such a pretty and cozy restaurant with the fire heaters blowing. Everyone enjoyed their meal, particularly my husband who had...the sea bass. The staff was adorable and attentive.More

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at O' Pignattello during our last night in Ischia (and our honeymoon). We found ourselves in Lacco Ameno after foiled plans to hike Mount Epomeo due to all day rain, but decided to head to Negombo...Thermal Park anyway to see what it's all about. We stayed on the other side of the island, near Ischia Porto, so it was our first time in the Lacco Ameno area. We are SO glad we decided to check out the restaurants in Lacco Ameno for apertifs and dinner, because it was simply the best! We made a reservation at O' Pignatello about an hour beforehand (this was a Sunday), and were nervous we would be turned away for our attire (we were wearing athletic gear and backpacks since we thought we would be hiking), but they never made us feel inadequate. Service was phenomenal from beginning to end, food was the best we had in Italy (and we stayed 5 days in Positano, so that's saying a lot!), and we just had the most perfect last meal in Ischia. We asked for a grilled shrimp appetizer (local shrimp, sooo sweet and tender), I had a seafood pasta, my husband had the suckling pig, and then we shared a tiramisu for dessert. Not to mention some complimentary chocolates and limoncello. Everything was incredible and so beautifully presented. We were only able to catch Lucia's name, but everyone was wonderful and super attentive. If you are in Ischia, go here NOW!More
