We wanted to try the local delicatessen which is baked rabbit with mushrooms but it was for 40 euros! Ordinary chicken was for 26 euro. The choice in menu was quite limited. So we left this place and had a lunch at another restaurant.

On top of a mountain in the center of the island of Ischia, going there is already a pleasure (try to do it around sunset). Ischia's specialities are excellent (coniglio, pappardelle) as well as the zuppa in a bread container. Staff is very kind and attentive. Price is reasonable, you should book in advance

The most amazing rabbit you can have in Ischia. Great appetizers, pasta to die for. Il coniglio, the rabbit is truly an experience to have when visiting Ischia. Ask to make it with their famous hand cut french fries. Old Ischia style. Yummy!!!

We were taken by our Ischian Hosts to this very amazing, vintage place up on the side of the mountain. The food and service was out of this world: so incredibly delicious. Well worth finding. Not a tourist place but where the locals go to get the best food. Lots of food and very good value. Cheerful service.

My boyfriend and I had a lot of home made appetizers such as beans, eggplants, egg tarts (frittata), bruschetta, proscuitto, parmiggiano and I am forgetting some for sure. They were all really good. The pasta mada with the juice from our rabbit was excellent. The rabbit was very good but a little bit too dry. Their home made fries are... More

One must to go places in Ischia, up on a hill with beautiful view. Traditional dish is rabbit stewed "all'Ischitana". The appetizers are quite good and in quantity. Also it is worth to try their wine with peaches (be careful you can drink a lot easily, and even if it is light wine....)

Bracconiere is for sure the most unique restaurant in Ischia. Not famous for fish but for the most incredible Conisglio all'Ischiatana (Ischia style rabbit). In general, they are very well known for meats and proper mainland dishes and there is no doubt there are the best one on this speciality indeed. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and is... We climbed to Bracconiere - it's up to hill from the bus stop, also were exploring surroundings climbing even higher. Thus when we reached the restaurant we were hungry and thirsty, half an hour before the official opening. Despite being early, staff seated us, providing with beer and light tasty snacks. And of course the Ischia Rabbit was delicious, better... More
