Hands down the best dinner meal I've had in The Norfolk area. Intimate dining, excellent service, and beyond tasty food from the amuse bouche to dessert. My husband and I chose the Caesar salad and mussels for appetizers ... Make sure to eat the delicious hot bread with the mussels app; the sauce was incredible. For entrees, we were delighted... We went on a Tuesday prior to a show. The restaurant offers a 2 for Tuesday special which means that a 3 course menu us offered and you may choose 2 courses, an appetizer, a main course or a dessert. The full menu is also available. We tried both the 2 for Tuesday and the main menu. The escargots were... More

I absolutely love this place! My husband set up a surprise dinner with my friends and the whole dinner was top notch. The food, the wine list, and dessert. SO. GOOD. You will. You will not be disappointed!

Voilà is a charming gem of a restaurant in the Freemaison district of Norfolk. The atmosphere is intimate and welcoming. The service is friendly and impeccable. Most importantly, the food is over the top. A tasty amuse-bouche preceded the hors d'oeuvre. I had two "specials:" an hors d'oeuvre with sea scallops followed by grouper with rice pilaf and asparagus. My... More

Great choice for date night. The staff were professional and the food was excellent. As a Brit, I was surprised to have the best beef wellington I have ever had in (what felt like) a French restaurant located in America. There was a lot of attention to details at this place, which made the night special. Only downside was we... More

Our New Year's Eve dinner at Voila! was so great, I wanted to recommend it to all of you looking for a special location. It is a little known secret across from the Hague in Norfolk. Voila is a small, cozy, and romantic French restaurant with Greek undertones and outstanding food. Business casual attire is apprpriate. We ordered the 5... More

It's taken just three visits for Voila to establish its place as our favorite neighborhood restaurant in Downtown/Freemason. The staff are friendly, well-trained and knowledgeable. The food is amazing... traditional French fair done with elegance and precision; we tend to order the same thing, Escargot and PEI mussels to start, Steak Frites (her) and Beef Wellington (me) for the entrees.... Its been a few years since I last had dinner at Voila. And it was just as I remembered it, the food was amazing. Our waiter Greg was spot on! One thing I hate is when a server asks you how your meal is when you have a mouth fool of food, that never happened. Can't wait to go back!... More

Wow....not even sure how to start this review. We dined here for the first time tonight. The setting was intimate and pleasing to the eye. The rich earth tones and understated elegance works very well together. We ordered one of the three-course meals. From the first sip of the flavorful, savory french onion soup thru the perfectly prepared final dish,... More

Tucked into a corner of Botetourt and & York Street, Voila, with it's soft lighting and eclectic decor, is a local gem. The restaurant sits tucked away in one of the city's oldest historic neighborhoods, complete with cobblestone streets and some of the few surviving antebellum houses on the side of the Elizabeth River. With a full bar and known for its three-course prix-fixe, Voila's menu features fresh ingredients & home-grown herbs. Voila boasts an impressive selection of international, French, & Greek dishes, incorporated together by the owners, Hampton Roads restaurateurs John & Maggie Tsouris. As well as Hand crafted cocktails concocted with vintage liqueurs and spirits, fresh squeezed juices and homegrown herbs. Voila is a local's favorite and must try authentic cuisine.
