Visited this evening for the curry night excellent value which includes a drink also, curry, nan bread , rice ,poppadum dip and onions , all for £7-99, not the best curry you will ever taste, but for the price a good attempt

We eat here most weekends, the food is always fantastic and the portions are huge!!! The Sunday lunch is always perfectly cooked, and the specials menu is a great addition.

We popped in one saturday afternoon looking for a light meal. I'm gluten intolerant so when we arrived I asked if they had a special menu and was brought one although the full menu had recently changed so it didn't correlate exactly but did have some similar dishes on. The waitress was extremely helpful and asked me for a list... More

As locals we keep going hoping it improves, sadly it just gets worse! 2 meals inedible and the other 3 'filled a gap'. This is not a cheap establishment so my recommendation is Don't Bother!!!!! Ok for after a walk and a drink but stay clear of the food.

Poor reception from staff despite having booked in advance. We felt like we were an inconvenience to the blonde haired older lady who took our order, after we'd been waiting for 30 mins. Gammon dry and crispy, lamb henry tough, sausages poor quality, roast uninspiring. The child's fish goujons were excellent and the belly pork was very good. Eventually got... More

We went the Moorcock over Easter 2015 and had a lovely meal, although we did have to wait 45 mins, when it arrived it was all fresh, and well presented, although it was quite expensive for a pub meal we decided to go back, Big mistake, completely different in September. We had to send back a very stringy steak and... More

I ordered the chilli burger and my partner ordered fish and chips these came after a delay of 40 minutes... More

We've been coming here for years and there has never been a problem. The food is always lovely, it's quick service, home cut chips and it's always hot. We've even stayed over for my birthday once in the pheasant room and that was a good experience. I always recommend this place x
