We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. I'm not a fish lover but their Ahi was absolutely delicious. Must try at least once.

Our family walked from our hotel to Duke's and had a wonderful dinner with an oceanfront view. The staff were all very friendly and the food was delicious. I recommend the Twisted Hula Pie for dessert!

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
What is the difference between the dining room and the Bar Area? Open Table note says reservations are for the Dining Room. Is the dining room still open air or is it in a closed building. I'm confused about the difference in location and design.

Most of Duke's restaurant is open air including the bar. There are areas that are more protected probably helpful during a rainy day. Virtually all the tables have a view of the ocean. Hope this helps.

Located just steps from the sand, our striking open-air restaurant offers sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean along Kaanapali North Beach at the Honua Kai Resort and Spa. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients are featured throughout the breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. The cuisine is Hawaiian influenced with a focus on fresh, sustainable seafood and premium steaks. In keeping with the tradition of the Duke’s restaurants in Hawaii and California, Duke’s Beach House boasts a casual, nostalgic ambiance honoring the great Duke Kahanamoku.
