Good menu, good beer. Enjoyed my pizza very much. Other things FS on the menu sounded great. And very nice ambience. I'd go back!

I hadn't gone to Black Bear for a long time. The food had gone downhill and all the long-time servers have left. However, I allowed my child to drag me in. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the turkey Reuben is. It has Dijon on it, and you must ask for the homemade 1000 island on the side, but... More
We are here recently and were a bit disappointed in the pizza. The ccream sauce is very bland and boring. We had eaten there before and liked to pizza. We also had one the had lots of goat cheese. I like goat cheese a lot but it was way too much!
A previous contributor titled her review "Hit or Miss". It was a miss for us! We were at another local pub having a pint, when we decided to see what other restaurants were in town for our dinner plans. As we strolled down the sidewalk, a mother and daughter sitting outside the Black Bear Bistro had good things to say... More
On a busy Saturday evening the dining areas upstairs and downstairs were full, so we opted to sit at the bar and enjoyed friendly service from the bartender Mason. The gluten free pizza was great and ourfellow diners raved about their shrimp and grits.
Went solo on a business trip and had a blast at this restaurant. Hotel recommended it and it was worth try to find a spot to park on Main Street. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Gave me a tour of the place and was quick to get a beer and take my order. Atmosphere is fun, restaurant is clean... More
My husband and I live right in old town. We love being able to walk up to Main Street and enjoy all the local restaurants. When we first moved 2 years ago, Black Bear/The Brick was always a HIT. About 6 months later things went down hill. I'm not sure what changed but it's hit or miss with this place.... More
After a grueling day of "antiqueing" from Sterling to Culpepper to Sperryville the return home we were famished. This was one of multipple restaurants that popped up on the search in Warrenton. There was no seating in the upstairs or the pizza restaurant section below so we grabbed the bar Big menu - i saw a turkey reuben and asked... More
Wonderful wood-fired pizza. Try to get a seat in the charming downstairs room with fireplace. Friendly wait staff
Black Bear was recommended by a local friend. Our experience was pleasant though not without issues. Generally, the ambience was cozy where we were seated in the basement, though a couple of our party members found the room stiflingly hot. There were two gas fireplaces running. Our server obliged us by turning off one fire. We were pleased to encounter... More
