Go for the food, it's great! Don't believe the website for dinner; they close at 4 pm even tho they sell baked goods till 6pm. If you misunderstand the staff thinks you're stupid; if you complain they don't care. 4/24/17 4:05pm. The dishes and sandwiches can be unique and tasty -- all the more bitter in being led astray by... More

I was visiting Jamestown Settlement and I walked into the Cafe. It was operated by Carrot Tree Kitchens. I wasn't very hungry - just looking to to get out of the cold and get a snack. The menu was so interesting and at great prices. I decided to get a bowl of Brunswick stew for less than $4. I was... More

When we walked in we were greeted by a friendly staff. We were seated right away. I ordered the house salad which had ample spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers and cheese. The house made vinegarette was very good. My husband had the blue cheese and it was home made also. I ordered the ham quiche with Brunswick stew. Both were very tasty.... More

Saturday was our last day in Williamsburg, of course every restaurant was SRO by the time we started looking. Then we took a chance and revisited Carrot Tree. It wasn't crowded, but it should have been! We enjoyed a fabulous meal there! My friend and I agreed it was the best meal we had all week. We enjoyed the mouthwatering... More

This bakery and restaurant carriesnHarney and Sons teas (one of my very favorites), which you can also purchase by the box. This tea is difficult to find in the Midwest, so I was delighted to be able to buy several boxes while we were there.

The Carrot Tree is a small, clean, nicely decorated, restaurant in a strip mall that really needs to expand to a self standing building that could accommodate more people with extra help at the register. There seems to always be a waiting list for their elegant, fun and exciting events i.e. High Tea, special interest speakers, or their other unique... More

Having lived in the Williamsburg area for many years, we enjoyed numerous excellent lunches and dinners at the Carrot Tree in Williamsburg, Yorktown, and Jamestown Island. Now that we no longer live in the area, we can only enjoy these meals on our visits to Williamsburg. During a recent visit we had the opportunity to enjoy both breakfast and lunch... More
