We've eaten here every time we've come to Williamsburg since the early 90s. Le Yaca never disappoints us. The food, the service, everything is just wonderful. Their prix fixe menu offers a great selection - tonight we had the crab cake and filet, with salad,...french onion soup and creme brulee. Their fish is always superb; the lamb is fabulous. You will be so glad you visited and will put this on your favorite Williamsburg restaurant list too. Bon appetit!More

In over 65 years, I have consumed enough calves liver to cause a bovine herd to stampede at the mention of my name. I did not think it possible for me to be surprised, but found out how wrong I was when I tried the...Foie De Veau (Sautéed Calf’s Liver) At Le Yaca restaurant in Williamsburg. If it can be described, I lack sufficient command of the English language to do so. Let me just say, wonderful. Everything about the Le Yaca experience was wonderful.More

Very good French cuisine and superb service at this restaurant just outside of Colonial Williamsburg. All six of us were very pleased with our selections. I would go back here anytime I visit and in the mood for French food.

This is one of my favorite restaurants, the food is always top quality and the service is impeccable, usually. Had dinner there last night and came away wondering what happened. After being seated we waited about 8-10 minutes before being greeted by a waiter, took...our drink order and waited another 8-10 minutes for it to arrive. Louis, the waiter, never fully explained the specials and was not very confident in his knowledge. Between ordering and the meal arriving was another long wait. I think the food had been sitting for a while since the lamb was lukewarm and my husband's veggies (served in a separate bowl) were cold even though the bowl was warm. The lamb was a special and we saw it being roasted over an open flame as we arrived, but it was stringy and not very flavorful. Louis only came back once to check on us and never poured the wine again after the first time. It took a long time for him to bring our bill and then it was wrong, he only charged us for the wine not the food! We pointed that out and he changed it, but still didn't charge us for one of the meals! We got the feeling he was new at this and if so, he needs much more training! It took us almost 2 hours from start to finish, which would be fine if we hadn't spent most of the time waiting for something. I will go back but will be sure and ask for another waiter, it was a disappointing meal from a quality place.More

Went there for dinner on a Friday evening. Busy, but not overwhelming. The staff was very accommodating and attentive. There were 4 of us and all chose the 3 courses for $37.00/$47.00 entrees. The chestnut/mushroom cream based soup de jour was excellent. One of our...group had grilled Scottish salmon with spinach, another had the lump crab cakes with beurre blanc sauce, and I chose the pork tenderloin with crispy potato and apple chutney. Just an outstanding meal with a reasonably priced bottle (given the mark-up in restaurants) of wine plus desserts. No one was pushing us to finish and the meal was quite relaxing. If I ever make it down to Williamsburg again, I hope to eat at this restaurant again. Great meal/atmosphere.More

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and requested patio seating on a fantastic evening. Le Yaca was featuring a keyboard player and singer playing many oldies from the 60s to 80s. The music was delightful but the food was outstanding. We ordered the...3 course fixed price with a light vinegarette dressing. My wife had a huge crab cake with slices of fried potato and spinach. The presentation was terrific. I had a flounder and jumbo shrimp dish that had a very creative presentation. Both entrees were more than enough. Our desserts were terrimasu And a chocolate tart. The Pinot Grigio wine was light and wonderful. This was a memorable evening on a well spaced patio, and we’ll definitely be back!More

So glad I know how to navigate TripAdvisor reviews. We usually skip French restaurants as we avoid heavy sauces. Le Yaca was mentioned in a different restaurant review as a comparison for food and service. After reading TripAdvisor reviews for Le Yaca, I checked out...their website and menu. I knew then that we had to give it a try. I'll start by saying this was the best meal we've had since moving to the south over 2 years ago. I suggest taking advantage of one of the prix fixe options, which includes a choice between 3 appetizers and a variety of entrees and desserts. My wife began with a salad while I had the onion soup (mountain style - which is pureed). Both were delicious. Then we both had the halibut special, which was perfect. I especially appreciated the grapefruit segments. My wife had the chocolate cake and I had the apple tart. From start to finish, this was a hit. Our server was also excellent. He was attentive without being overbearing. I'll be recommending Le Yaca to anyone headed to Williamsburg.More

My husband and I had the fixed meal, which is an excellent value--3 courses for $37 or $47 depending on entree choice. WE chose onion soup for an appetizer and it was amazing. As found in the mountain area of France, the onions are cartelized...and pureed, making the soup thicker and less broth-like. For entrees my husband had the beef tenderloin/lobster combination and I had the veal--both $47 options. The veal in mushroom sauce was wonderful. It was accompanied by a perfect potato and spinach. I'm not a spinach fan, but dipped in the mushroom sauce it was very good. My husband's beef and lobster was very well cooked and he couldn't decide which one he liked best. His meal was also accompanied by a potato and creamed spinach. For dessert, he had the apple tart and I had the flourless chocolate cake (their specialty)--both amazing. Maybe our top restaurant in Williamsburg.More

Great food and service. The restaurant looks clean and complies with social distancing. Their Grand Marnier dessert is to die for. Authentic french cuisine.

The scallops were too gritty . Long time waiting on the table for the waiters but after that she was very helpful.

Their website doesn't show a wine list. I suggest that you call them (757 220-3616 for Williamsburg location).
