Food, staff and prices were excellent. Service was great and there was a large variety of virgin cocktails which is something you rarely find.

Another Special Occasion place if you are going to eat at the "fire tables" but the sushi bar is pretty fantastic as well. You can order regular Japanese fare at the non-habachi side of the restaurant as well. Of the three Japanese steakhouse style restaurants in the area, this is the best for habachi and the second best for sushi.

HIGHLY REGRET THE EXPERIENCE! We only went because we had a Groupon which required a reservation in small print. The place was empty when we arrived but the management refused to honor the Groupon offer because we did not have a reservation. SERIOUSLY DISAPPOINTING! Seemed like a way to avoid honoring their offer and make it difficult! not top of... More

We usually enjoy teppanyaki, but TJSH not so much. The food was was okay but not as good as many; the chef was lackluster and didn't even try to be entertaining; the table was sticky and the hostess said there was nothing she could do because that's just the way the finish was; and the floors looked like they hadn't... I and my family came here for my mom's bday - expecting to have some decent japanese food. Guess what, we got agedashi tofu - which is an appetizer - came after all of the main dishes came out. You can NOT call it Agedashi tofu - since it is not how it should be. Had scallop katsu - which... More

Place wasn't packed and food was slow to come out. Food was normal priced for a Japanese steakhouse but quality was very poor quality. Sushi was average as was steak.

So the atmosphere of this place is your typical hibachi grill. It's definitely fun to sit around the grill while the chef cooks your food and freaks everyone out with huge flames. My wife and I had been here about a half dozen times and were mostly happy with our experience. So my birthday came around and we invited about... More
