Disappointing experience. Server was bored and curt. Salmon filets were thin pieces of tail meat that were dried and tough. Management was responsive to the issue but meal was interrupted and disappointing.

I eat here frequently during business trips to Bellevue. The seafood is always quite good. The restaurant always seems accommodating of my need for tables for large groups, sometimes with a frequently changing final number of diners. Recently, with a group of nine we shared as appetizers the large sushi plate, the chef's plate, and the "seafood tower" which was... More

Living in the area we only hit up Seastar for our special occasions. This is always a first rate restaurant. The service is top notch and the food never disappoints. We took our daughters here for a Easter/birthday dinner. Everyone enjoyed everything. The only downside is the price. I think you can get excellent Seafood in the Seattle area for... More

Hard to write just eh....review for this place. I was expecting the best and it wasn't. It was just kind of average, not over the top (which was my expectation) maybe I should lower my standards (nah). Been to other John Howie Restaurants and they are AWESOME! So, what the he** this was not AWESOME. Daniel's and The Met have... More

Went there for a business dinner. Massive selection of fish and seafood, as expected. Food was good but not too exciting. Went for the Seattle Restaurant Week menu... Ahi poke with good seasoning but why torch the tuna? Main course was nice, Steelhead with Thai curry. The curry creamy and spicy, sticky rice not my favorite. Try the Creme Brulee!... More

My husband and I visited Seastar for my birthday dinner. I am a seafood fan and had heard many good reviews on this restaurant. We started sharing a Caesar salad, which, truthfully was just mediocre. My main dish was fantastic. (See photo). I ordered sesame peppercorns crusted ahi, with a jasmine rice cake. Served with ginger-soy reduction and wasabi cream.... More

Since Seastar is on the pricey side, it was a great option for restaurant week - 3 courses for $32. Our group of 8 was celebrating a birthday. I had the ahi poke, and tasted the salmon spicy roll (very good) and the cauliflower salad (a tad bland, but interesting). The nut crusted chicken was served with a blue cheese... More

Typical expense account seafood place. Very solid food at a premium price. The restaurant is not that big and has an older school feel to it vs other options in Bellevue. If you want seafood and you are in Bellevue, go here.

A bit slow at check in despite a reservation. Easy to forget after being seated and getting very good service and great value for Restaurant Week. Three courses. Nice portions. Found an excellent Italian wine at a reasonable price. Will return

A work night in chilly January took a group of us to Seastar in Bellevue. It was wonderful. The atmosphere was great. The service was very good. The food was excellent. Our missed entrees of different local seafood followed by my rich, luscious seafood stew were simply delicious.
