I recently visited Ciao Thyme for lunch with a friend. The food here is always good, although a tad on the expensive side, it really is good value for money. Unfortunately they have now developed a tipping policy where they automatically add 20% to the bill and we are told they use the funds to spread the money to all... More

Thank you for your kind words about our food and restaurant. Our new policy for service charge is actually 15% for the cafe lunch, and feels to us like a more transparent way of showing what the increased costs are going toward then just a blanket raise in cafe prices. Recent changes in minimum wage, healthcare costs and other employee... More

Since moving from Minneapolis to Bellingham recently, we've been visiting local restaurants looking to find our favorites. I've created an online ranking system of all visited so far and this ranks at the top of the list! We visited for lunch and had the falafel and lamb gyro. Both had an explosion of well put together flavors. Both were untraditional... More

I walked by Ciao Thyme here in my hometown of Bellingham, and decided to have an impromptu lunch. I have found my new favorite place!! I had the set piece lunch, fried cod tacos and a chocolate chip cookie bar. Truly scrumptious, the fish taco plate was a generous serving, with flakey cod and fresh mango. The cookie bar was... I stopped by Ciao Thyme for the first time wanting something different for lunch, I had sampled some of this companies food when they catered a wedding I attended and had very good memories of the food. I ordered a Thai Noodle/Chicken salad. Sweet potato noodles (I didn't know or would have never thought they were made with sweet potatoes... More

This last week I happened across the Caio Thyme website when planning a trip to Bellingham to see family. An upcoming event was their Sunday Supper - Italy. I booked for our group of nine and attended with high expectations. Those expectations were exceeded! The ambiance of the second floor event space is stunning from its arched beam ceiling to... This is a great little place downtown... They serve a lovely lunch during the week and occasionally have special dinners at night. The food is high quality, artistic, and thoughtfully prepared. There is LOVE in this food and in the staff who work here. If you're looking for a special place for lunch, give this a shot! You'll be happy... More
