Visited Roots Restaurant and Bar last night for dinner and had another excellent meal. Started with a flatbread appetizer with local asparagus, orange oil, Virginia ham and manchego that was fabulous. Then we had a spinach salad and two entrees - Alaskan Halibut and Braised Short Ribs. The salad dressing (warm bacon cider vinaigrette) was especially good and the entrees... More

Atmosphere and service are first rate. Certainly one of the finest restaurants in metro area. Not cheap but attention paid to detail and no shortcuts in food preparation.

This is a great modern restaurant with very attentive wait staff and a delicious menu. It is a little on the $$$$ side so I'm glad this was a business meal.

Don't let the strip mall location fool you. This is a great spot to have lunch with a friend or a nice dinner out with a date. Excellent food and service always.

When one reads the reviews, service to match is expected. Meals came out one at a time, so we were eating by ourselves so our food would not go cold Mine came last, and my appetite was gone since everyone else had eaten. We will end up going again, for lack of more choice in the area. But it is... More

WE had dinner here in a large group. Servers were nice and accommodating. Very nice setting. I had the halibut which was dry and tasteless - others that had the same dish at out table agreed. Several had steak and raves about it.

Location: -Restaurant located of SE 192nd AVE in Camas Washington with insufficient parking spaces at lunch time. -Because the restaurant was not very busy we could hear the aloud conversation from the business meeting few tables away. Food: -Very tasty and fairly priced. Staff - Helpful and friendly providing us with helpful suggestions

The best seat is the chef's counter, the kitchen is hopping and fantastic food on every dish. We started with a subtle brandied chicken liver mousse topped with peppercorn honey and sea salt on toasted baguette, perfect with a Cakebread Cellars Chardonnay. Puréed cauliflower soup topped with toasted beets. Delicious. One of the dinner specials pan seared sea scallops on... More

We tried Roots for a quick mid week dinner. The food is well executed though I feel a touch on the expensive side for the location and the offering. Good wine and beer list. Good atmosphere. Service was attentive though a bit patchy. Also has a good bar area.

Nice location in Quality Foods Center shopping center with territorial views out the front windows. We stopped in for lunch and had fish & chips and also the James Beard's beef stew. The fish was panko breaded cod & really good however the steak fries were loaded with salt. The coleslaw that came with it was served in a little... More
