Homestead is always our go to choice for barbecue. It's not cheap, but the food is good, the service is super friendly and the old fashioned booths are big enough to fit family and friends. There is a great selection of pie in the case too!

No substitutions. Good burger. Caution-sweet relish on the burger in case you like dill instead. Been here several times over many years. Consistent quality.

We love coming here. Just a short drive on i90 for us. Well worth it! All the food is yummy and the milkshakes are delicious! They even have marshmallow milkshakes which are our favorite. Last time we went, We even bought a container of their bbq sauce. So good! ! I think we'll have to buy some every time we... More

The service was excellent, and the food was good, normal, we had burgers, and fries. One order of fries was plenty for two people. You have to order at the counter, which I really don't like, it makes me feel rushed. They bring it to you when it's done. It's clean place from what I could see. Everyone was friendly. It's right... My wife is from Memphis and we both know BBQ. This wasn't even on the radar. The closest thing to pulled pork on the menu was the pork sandwich minus the bun. What we got looked suspiciously like sixty cents worth of deli pork slices marinated in sauce and a Dixie cup of beans. Very underwhelming. Admittedly, the staff were... More

After a long trip from Leavenworth, Wa, back to Tacoma, Wa. my Wife and I decided to stop for a bite to eat before hitting the road. My wife had a Deluxe Hamburger (average tasting, came with potato chips instead of fries- sign of the times), I had the very Thin Sliced Pork on a Bun Sandwich- sorry excuse of... More

We took a nice break from the hectic I-90 traffic and found this first restaurant at the first off-ramp. It suited our needs and we were pleasantly surprised to find a very good BBQ place in Cle Elum. We were actually looking for another place that turned out to be closed on Sundays, so this was our second choice and... More

I ordered a bbq pork sandwich, it came with a little cup of coleslaw that was roughly chopped. The BBQ pork sandwich, consisted of thinly sliced pork very over cooked and dry, old, with some kind of bottled sauce on it, way too much sugar in the sauce. Did not detect spice. Two bites and I was ready to go. wasted... More

I rarely order ribs in a restaurant - even a BBQ joint - because they rarely meet my expectations of being big, meaty, well-cooked and perfectly sauced, but I will be going back and ordering a lot more ribs at the Homestead in Cle Elum. On a recent afternoon we both ordered the Beef/Pork/Chicken Combo meals and were delighted with... More
