Stopped by McKean's when driving through to Seattle. Pretty easy off the highway and slow drive through town and right back onto the freeway at the other end. Great burger, fries, onion rings and shakes!

This classic style Drive Inn was an unexpected hole in the wall. I had a large Blackberry Shake. Mm mm, Mmm Good. The Double cheese I had was loaded with home town flavor.. I highly recommend it. Skip the national chains and eat here

We stopped and ate here for burgers. We were really unhappy. Waited 35 min to get 4 burgers, two fries, and 3 shakes. The big burger had no cheese or condiments except lettuce. The meat patties were the thinnest we have ever seen. I don't even know how they got them so thin. The fries were also very thin and... More

I have been stopping in here for years. My sons were little guys who needed a break when traveling through town The little park you can sit in and let them play is great. I have always thought over the years about when these guys would not be good ...hasn't happened. I just went over to Ellensburg to watch my... More

Everything looked like messy goodness. And the burger patties were not wafer thin. But there was an unmistakable old/stale aftertaste that permeated all the burgers. They were the closest place by our hotel, and after a very long day, we didn't want to try elsewhere after ordering so we finished them. It wasn't pleasant, but decently made onion rings and... Nailbanger Here Again; We always are amazed when we see an establishment that is bullet proof and has survived since the 1950s,so we look for those kinds of places in lieu of the modern Chain places. Heres what we encountered. First its lunch time and we are the only people in the place the whole time we are there, First RED... More

Was recommended I go to Mckean's for burgers. Sadly disappointed in the fried mushrooms (mushy, not cooked long enough) & fries. Burgers were just okay. I did however love the wild cherry shake. Not a bad burger joint, but keep expectations low.
