When we arrived at lunchtime on a weekday we were surprised to find no other customers. This surprised us because the food, service, and decor were excellent. The homemade quiche was among the best we've ever eaten. The drip coffee was flavorful and not bitter. The decor was rustic and restful. We felt relaxed. Kristina, the woman behind the counter... It was a quiet Sunday and my husband and I decided to give this place a try on our way home from a visit to Eastern Washington. It was quiet at Gunnar's too but our lunch was great! I tried the cheddar French dip with the tomato bisque (yummy!!) and my husband had the "colt" (something with pastrami) and a... More

I ordered a cup of fresh tomato soup and hot tea, so I can't give an honest review of "the food" here. Friends had the Cobb salad, the veggie wrap and the Yardbird sandwich. They all reported that each was delicious! The atmosphere is very relaxed and the female staff were excellent in their small town hospitality. Keep up the... More

I am here every day! I love the friendly staff and they really rise above the basic customer service! Great place! My 3 year old son loves all the sweet girls and the warm cocoa! ❤️

My friend and I visited Gunnars Cafe, as we had found a buy 1, get 1 free coupon at our hotel. We went for lunch and ordered Candied Walnut and Chicken Salad. It had plenty of walnuts, gorgonzola cheese, lots of lettuce (fancy stuff), and a few other things. Raspberry dressing was the topping. I couldn't eat it all!

We decided to go to Gunnar's because that is our son's name. We lucked it with two of the best breakfast sandwiches we've ever had! Everything was made to order and wonderful!

How lucky we were to take an I90 Snoqualmie Pass traffic break at Gunner's Cafe. Their mission of small town living welcomes all and you can feel it. Food & Service was timely, great and fairly priced. A short but wonderful lunch. Why did I pass up Cle Ellum so many years traveling I90. Less of a fool now, we'll... More

Found this place on web searching for simple breakfast in Cle Elum. Besides super coffee (according to my husband) plus free refill, the breakfast sandwich was built on a fantastic biscuit with a nearly perfectly cooked egg. The breakfast casserole was also tasty. In addition, the staff was friendly and efficient.

This is a great stop at the east end of town for a delicious meal and great coffee. The interior is fun and creative, with comfortable space for eating outside.
