This was my first time at this restaurant. There was about a 40 minute wait to get in but it was worth every minute. Their food is outstanding. Since I was with a small group I got to try bites of a number of their...More

Fantastic schnitzel and kraut. Beer was warm and flat. The temperature inside the basement was possibly 90°and very muggy. The food was overpriced. Very good table service from the waiter and busboy.

Second time eating here. The Cordon Bleu Schnitzel is delicious, but expensive. Everything else we've tried there was lacking. Charming booths to sit in. Wait staff was very nice.

Great atmosphere, attentive staff, we had an authentic German musician. And the German beer is excellent! I've never been to Germany but this sure felt like being there. The jagerschnitzed and Cordon Bleu schnitzel was tasty and very good portions. For a taste of Germany,...More

Had an amazing meal at this restaurant, and loved the mustard so much we bought a jar to bring on the plane back home with us!

First night in Leavenworth. Had to eat German food, right? This place is highly recommended. It's not bad by any means. The food is fine, just typical. And everything tastes sort of institutional...not homemade. The cordon bleu was very middle of the road...I've had much...More

I am German, and very picky about my food. This was the most authentic German food I have ever eaten at a restaurant in the U.S. It was very delicious!!! The restaurant is downstairs in a cellar environment (very Bavarian style) and plays typical Bavarian...More

Surprisingly good German food in Leavenworth, which frankly is a tourist trap that has successfully marketed itself as a pseudo Bavarian village (far from it!). Andreas Keller is a welcome relief from the rest of the town. The food is very good and several cuts...More

This family-owned business has been bringing Bavaria to Leavenworth for over 25 years. The chef, Anita Hamilton, has been personally overseeing the kitchen since 1991 and is a native of Germany. The made-from-scratch desserts, soups and entrees are reminiscent of traditional Gasthaus fare. The owner, Heidi Forchemer, travels to Germany yearly for new menu ideas. Her son, Max, can be heard playing his button accordion most weekends, along with other local musicians, such as Tom Tilton of the Alpenfolk band. It simply doesn't get more authentic than this!
