Stopped in for lunch. Great little spot. Comfy lounge with a great waitress. Our food was delicious and very reasonable. Will visit again when we are in town.

We visited over Thanksgiving weekend and we would not recommend this place. Very mediocre. We both ordered steak and both of our steaks were very over cooked and not seared at all... My medium steak was well done and his medium rare was medium well... The drinks were decent, but based on the price and the product we received, we... More

Very average food. Cheesy feel to restaurant. Wait staff was very nice. Decorated abundantly for holidays.

After a great long weekend, we stopped at the Tumwater for breakfast on the way home. Although it's not located on the main street, it's definitely worth the short two-block walk south of the shopping district. The building fits in with the Bavarian architecture on the outside. The inside had some nice touches. Crocheted covers were fitted over the hanging... More

After walking all over town we finally settled on the Tumwater for lunch. It had a more extensive menu so we figured everyone could find something they liked. First thing I noticed was that it was a little stinky. Maybe it was the old building, or something else. The staff was friendly. They gave us a nice corner booth. There... More

We could have eaten a free breakfast at our hotel, but we wanted to get out and see what was available: The Tumwater Inn...and boy are we glad we did. I had the meatloaf for breakfast and it was delicious. I like something a little out of the ordinary anyway... one can only eat so many breakfasts with bacon, eggs,... More

The is great. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I had the Schnitzel dinner. The schnitzel could have been a tinsy bit bigger but the taste was great. Red cabbage was just like what I had in Germany. Plenty of fries too. Wife had the ham sandwich and salad and they were great. Highly recommend.

We had the best rib eye steak. It was tender and flavorful. The selection on the menu is terrific for someone who isn't too crazy about German food.

Great atmosphere tasty food. Try the three sausage and sauerkraut appetizer. It is amazing! If you don't like sauerkraut this is a great dish to start with. And say hi to Jewel if she's there, she lives up to her name.

We ate lunch here and were treated very well. The server had a hard time remembering what dressing I asked for on the salad (Italian) but was otherwise excellent. The food was good and the price was good. We had a reuben and a brat. The salad was good too. The sauerkraut was excellent. It is a block off the... More
