I love Doe Bay. The setting is stunning. Over the years there has been some staff changes in the kitchen and I have had great meals and really not great meals but I came with a friend a few weeks ago and we were blown away. The mushroom gnocchi was the best, best, best!!! Thank you Doe Bay kitchen for... More

I ordered something called the Northwest Farmer's Breakfast, featuring smoked salmon, along with a side of "smashed potatoes." This (intentionally) cold plate contains a soft-boiled egg and boiled red cabbage with a dollop of sour cream. The salmon was not thoroughly smoked, so the middle of the portion was raw. The egg yolk was, of course, uncooked and tasted as... More

Definitely a destination to sip on a mixed drink and take in the view. The food was pretty good - small portions, high prices. My boyfriend liked the oysters and octopus. I got the gnocchi - which was okay.

Although Doe Bay Resort has all the amenities for preparing your own meals, we spoiled ourselves one night with a dinner at the restaurant. Fine dining in a very laid back atmosphere. They were happy to "veganize" some of the menu items and the homemade gnocchi with wild mushrooms and other locally sourced ingredients was outstanding. It was pricey, however,... More

Cute restaurant right on water. Food was good, but small portions. And kinda higher priced for what you recieved. Limited menu. No salads. Good wine. Staff was very nice.

I have been visiting this place off and on for the last 30 years. It is a little hippie dippy clothing optional for some people but it is a beautiful site and the cafe food is exceptional. ...but but but I tried to go there the week after Christmas 2016 (driving all the way from Utah) and their website kept... I am vegetarian and was happy to finally see not just one or two choices available to me. The food was simply divine - all locally sourced, great quality ingredients, artfully composed. The place itself is really nice. Laid back atmosphere, a bit eclectic, yes, lovely people to chat with, just a great evening out on Orcas Island. And the... More

The cafe is 20 minutes or so from Eastsound. Ensure the place is open before making the trek. Six of us sat outside on a glorious day overlooking the water. Busy birds and the occasional boat added to the view. The food and coffee were very good. My friend ordered the halibut sandwich without the bread (not doing grain). Her... More

We were very happy to find a restaurant on the far side of this island as we were staying in Olga. We popped in without reservations and we're able to be seated at the bar. Servers/bartenders were the nicest folks. We were looking for light fare, appetizers to end the day. We had a couple house drinks (great ginger beer... More

We were sad that the only meal served during our early Sept stay was dinner, as we would have loved other meals in this wonderful setting. The evening we were there was Indian food night and, while spicy, it was authentic. Wonderful staff, all super friendly, good prices, and one of the best places to eat on the island.
