I have been eating here for many years maybe 100 times or more over the last seven years and they've never disappointed me. This is the first time since the new owners of taking over and it's still good.

It's a pretty olive green building, inviting upon entering. The fare is traditional Thai and the staff was very welcoming. Prices are average and amble indoor seating. It's not smokey or noisey as other Thai restaurants in town.

Thai food is among my favorite foods, so it was easy to convince me to try this restaurant. The food was well-seasoned and for we were offered the range of 1 to 5 for spicy on those dishes that were not cooked mild by tradition. I enjoy authentic Thai food because each restaurant varies its seasoning based on family traditions.... More

Lovely authentic That food The waitress was attentive with the loveliest smile We had the tiger prawn special and pork red curry Both were delicious and were followed by sticky rice with mango syrup and coconut ice cream for desert. Equally as nice. Prices were very reasonable and we had a nice seat by the window.

Good food and value. Recently was sold;so, we'll have to see if the quality remains the same. The people who formerly owned it have always been so gracious. Anyway, the food the other day was good but not as good as usual.

Tucked away across from City Hall, Banana Leaf is a real gem. The food is excellent, and the price reasonable. It's not very large, but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in menu items and quality. And it has its own parking lot...a real asset! It's difficult to decide what to have there are so... More

Nothing special about the atmosphere, but quick friendly service. We had the Sweet Basil with chicken, excellent. Also had the Garlic Lever with pork, good flavor but needed more spice. Who would go to a Thai restaurant and not want spice? Limited wine choices. Next time we're in PT we'll go back. This would have been a cheap dinner if... More

We ordered Pumpkin Curry with chicken satay. It was a lunch combo. It was fantastic! It had 3 huge prawns, and it was enough for two people to share. Both the peanut sauce and the red curry sauce were delicious. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful afternoon. Service was spot on. Definitely will stop here again.

We really wanted to like Banana Leaf but after 4 or 5 visits, we now tend to find somewhere else. However, the service is good, the menu choices are interesting, and there are some very inventive dishes. Their aspirations for an "Asian fast food joint" are way better than most of its kind, but often not quite met. For example,... More
