First things first, this was a takeout order. We hadn't been here for a while so this was a return engagement of sorts. We were walking by La Isla when we saw a display ad for Birria, a Mexican take on braised pork shanks and we were interested. We thought we would try them on our next takeout night. We... More

This is a nice Mexican restaurant with a great water view! It has an extensive menu with everything you could imagine with special sections recommended by Maria, Victor, etc. plus some vegetarian items. It's in a strip mall between Don's Pharmacy and Quimper Mercantile. Down a long hallway, which might be overlooked, is waterfront dining, which is lovely. Friendly staff,... More

Never been to PT, but met up with my stepsister and had lunch there. The food was good, but there was no air conditioning and so it was very hot. LOVED their pico !

We walked the length of the main street looking for somewhere to have lunch. We ended up at a older plaza with several discount stores and this restaurant. The menu looked good so, in we went. We were seated down some stairs at the back on a small patio at the water's edge quite close to the ferry dock. Great... More

A very typical USA-style Mexican restaurant with the standard menu - you've seen one, you've seen them all. However, they have a nice dining room in the back with seafront views. Nice little bar up front, and a very pleasant family staff to serve you throughout. I recently had some very nice enchiladas; and I now see from their window... More

In the shopping strip, looks deceiving from the front, there is more seating in the back. Good food, priced reasonably.

Well thought we would drop in here to have a meal before taking the ferry. The Tortilla Chips came and they were so greasy tasting the Wife and I could not eat them. Then the meal came and the rice was dry and the food not very warm. It appeared that only one person was working so maybe we got... More

La Isla probably doesn't have the best Mexican food in town. But. The restaurant is dog friendly, which makes it an excellent place to wait for the ferry, the dock for which is only a hundred or so yards away. The staff is incredibly friendly and quite willing to serve the meal outside in back at the umbrella-covered tables, where... More

We stopped going to La Isla several years ago, because the other Mexican restaurants in town all had better food. It seemed time to give them another try. Sadly, the place has an even more worn-out atmosphere (a shame since they have one of the best water views in town) and the food was very disappointing. Save for the watery... More
