Poulsbo is SO cute! It looks like you stepped into a Christmas card. A quaint little seaside Nordic town. Sluys bakery is the perfect centerpiece for this gem. It wafts of baked fresh deliciousness. Their raspberry scones are my favorite. I highly recommend a stop by this bakery.

To walk inside is to yield to a wild craving for so many of their delectable offerings. As a diabetic, I have to forego my desires, although I occasionally will indulge, especially if I am with someone who will share my delicious bounty.

After eating at the Paella Bar in Poulsbo, we decided that a walk thru downtown was in order. Of course we knew that included a stop at Sluy's bakery. We went in and there was a line, but the two persons behind the counter were very efficient and understanding when it was your turn and still were working on what... More

Sluy's (pronounced Sly's) is an old fashioned bakery with wonderful baked goods. They have a huge variety of goodies. If you visit, THERE IS NO LINE! You're best bet is to slowly make your way to the display case. It's worth the wait.

When Planned Parenthood tried to rent a storefront from the owners of Sluys, they were refused. So much for Christian compassion.

If you are in Poulsbo, go to Sluy's Bakery. There is a large selection of goodies and breads. Choosing only one or two or three may be the hardest part.

We ordered pastries for a snack at the hotel and I had a peanut butter chocolate pastry that was heavenly! We went back the next morning and purchased a box to take home. Dough boys are huge and super delicious. Cinnamon rolls and pumpkin spice doughnuts so so good. We also got a loaf of of cinnamon bread and it... More

This bakery never fails to deliver absolutely great baked goods at a very reasonable price. I got the pecan rolls with caramel glaze and YUM. I have never been disappointed here!
