Sluy's has been in business for many years and a few generations. Consistently great bakery. What else needs to be said?

Sluys is a fun place to go to if you're visiting around Poulsbo. An excellent selection of pastries in a very pleasant and historic downtown district. But the pastries themselves didn't seem that spectacular - we had the almond pastry and coconut macaroons - both seemed overly buttery and sweet.

We keep trying different things - but keep finding baked goods that are really dry. I haven't been to Norway to try baked goods which this bakery seems to offer, so I can't say it that's traditional Norwegian. But my Danish family seems to think it is not typical of Scandinavian pastries. In the refrigerated section though there are some... More

Go here all the time. By far the best home town bakery ever! Really excellent almond butter horns, Poulbo bread, maple bars, you name it.

We visited early in the morning, which was a good time because it wasn't to busy. Their bread and pastries are amazing! We always stop in if we are close or spend a day in Poulsbo.

Great selection of donuts and pastries here. They are very friendly and efficient as well. Everything I've eaten has been fresh and delicious and I am a local that visits several times a month.

After a couple of hours with the Grandkids painting ceramics we decided to stop and get a snack. The bakery was packed at 3:00 in the afternoon. Once the door opened you could smell the fresh baked goods. We looked around at all the offerings, but ended up with cookies for our snack. We will be back again - soon.

There is a reason this place is always packed with a line to the door. The pastries are absolutely delectable and the service is fast and efficient. Why just four stars? A bakery shouldn't have a $5 minimum. It may have just been for the use of a debit card. Even so, there should be an alternative for those who... More

Check this place out! It's great! A large variety of breads! You can't go wrong here. Though parking can be a problem, there are many other places to also check out while you are in downtown Poulsbo!

Thank J H
