Being from New England I have a high standard for fresh fish and clam chowder. I was very surprised to find their new england clam chowder to be very good, creamy, ample combination of potatoes (not soggy), clams, cream and just a touch of vinegar. Their fish and chips were also very good, not too oily, crisp and the fish... More

The service was very attentive and upbeat. I ordered prawns stuffed with dungeness crab while we can all agree it is challenging when you receive your meal and it is quite over done especially seafood however they were most professional and prepared another order and it was fabulous! They were very generous and did not charge me for it. Now... More

Wow! We sat at the bar and were served tilting glass bloody Mary's and the best chowder I have ever had! The organic sour dough bread was a great compliment! Highly recommend for great food and great views

The food and the location in Tacoma on the water made this a great dining experience. Get seated prior to night fall to see a beautiful sunset on the water. Try the sampler of chowders -- the clam chowder was my favorite. The halibut with blueberries, the salmon, and the marionberry pie were truly wonderful.

Part of a small group, (Dukes) which we have been to before. San DIego, Lake Tahoe and this place was very good. Great sour dough bread and we had the world famous clam chowder. Nice location on the water!

Located on popular Ruston Way, this was recommended by friends. Stopped in on a late Sunday afternoon and stayed almost 3 hours. Great happy hour, didn't need dinner. Great selections on the menus for food and drink. Pricey main courses, but recommend clam chowder!

My sister and I went there for dinner and the view and food was excellent. I had the Stuffed and Puffed Prawns...OMG so good the best Prawns I have ever had. My sister had the Macadamia Encrusted Halibut and she said it was the best she ever and the bite or two I had of hers I would have to... More

You can always be sure to get a great bowl of clam chowder here! I did have fish and chips and was somewhat disappointed. I got two pieces of fish that looked like something you'd get out of a frozen food box. Very uniformed, with a panko like coating. Thankfully, it didn't taste like cardboard and was surprisingly good.

We plan for business meals at Duke's, and of course our family celebrations... you name it. Absolutely cannot get enough of this place. The Tacoma location is simply breathtaking. I love their Alki and Lake Union locations just as much.

Loved our chowder (especially the clam chowder), stuffed sole, and salmon with pesto. Sourdough is absolutely fabulous. Ceasar salad really good. For some reason they were only seating inside, even though the weather seemed fine. Disappointing! No wait at 5p on a Thursday night (restaurant week), but looked like quite a wait at 6:30 when we were leaving. Restaurant week... More
