For everyone who enjoys junk food: go get a burger at Frisko Freeze. It is a very nice old school takeaway burger joint. The burgers aren't fancy or gourmet burgers but solid fast food. I would always prefer coming here before going to MacDonald's or Burger King.

I always try to get to Frisco Freeze on my trips to Tacoma. Although their service time takes a bit longer, it is worth the wait. It did bother me to see men with beards (at least 4-5 inches long) with no hair/beard nets over them leaning over and cooking the food. I thought that was a standard health Department... More

This iconic burger joint has been a Tacoma favorite for more than 60 years! The hamburgers & fry's are great and it's close to Wrights Park so your can take your burgers over to the park and enjoy the area while you eat. I highly recommend this little hamburger shack for good food!

A good old-fashioned ice cream stand. Brings you back to a simpler time. Service is usually pretty good, There tends to be more interesting crowds around the place as the evening progresses. You have to check it out. Its very close to downtown Tacoma and is a short drive from most spots.

I've been going here for about fifty years. It has never changed and won;t because of registration on the historic register. The burgers still come in translucent envelopes and are about as greasy as they can get, chock full of chopped onions. It's a classic drive-in with a separate ordering window for walk-ups. About three cars can fit in the... More

Came with my friend for a drive thru burger snack after a really disappointing hot dog elsewhere. The burgers are the best I had whilst staying in the USA, though very greasy. The chips were great too but the portion size was big. Was a great little place but we sat in the car eating as there isn't anywhere to... More

Best blackberry milkshakes. Great fries. Greasy burgers. Good pickles. If it's busy, be prepared for a wait. Sometimes a really long one--like 10+ minutes. Which is interminable if you're starving. But the burgers are consistently good, if a but expensive. And don't ever use the drive-thru. Just don't. It will take you forever and everyone lolling around eating or waiting... More

We stopped off here before a Tacoma Rainiers game . We were in a hurry . Frisko Freeze cooks their burger patties as ordered , not mass grilling . It was very good , but I couldn't enjoy it as I had to eat while stopped at red lights going to the game . As we sat at the game... More

I've basically been coming here since I was born. Every time I come home I go to Frisko Freeze. Try the double Cheeseburger. The fries and Onion rings are good. But, the Banana Chocolate Shake is the best.

Old time Seattle folks have allegiance to Dicks or Kidd Valley, but when in Tacoma, a stop at Frisco Freeze is almost a pilgrimage experience. Burgers, fries and shakes like they used to be and like they will always be, as long as places like this continue to thrive.
