My son and I have wanted to have b'fast here for a couple of months, but have never been able to get our hours matched up. This is a small (7 table) café on 6th Ave in Tacoma. We went on a Friday morning and were to able to get a seat within 5 minutes. I had a blueberry pancake... More

I seek out mom and pop diners and this one is at the top of my list, a breakfast to remember, excellent coffee, homemade scones, tasty hash browns, I left with expectations surpassed, thanks to Pat and her husband for being at this location for 19 years! A testament to your passion for delivering great food.

We've passed by this place for years and this morning we decided to try it. We both had the cafe scrambles and the portions were large with loads of fresh veggies. Two downsides to this place: very small maybe seats 20 people max so the wait to get in problematic &; consequently the wait for the food would be longer... More

Wow, we were truly amazed at the quality of food. Just as good as if we were home. Priced right, superior quality of food. Yes, you may have to wait for a table to free up for obvious reasons. Everyone who dines here knows what a treat they are in for. We ate

My daughters and I received a recommendation from a Washingtonite about the food here. We arrived around 830am crossing our fingers that the line wouldn't be too long. Because I wanted some "home made" food. We waited for about 15minutes. We were told in advance that its literally the cook and the waiter(host) and it was. So, I took it... More

i have eaten here two times now. the first time I arrived very early and had their "scramlette) with Blue Beard coffee. Food was good, home-made with generous portions. Not cheap. This place defines the term "Mom and Pop". it literally is the cook and the server. the second time, I took a guest. The place only seats around 20... More

Excellent food. Plain and simple, no reliance on excessive spices, etc. The ingredients alone provided all the flavor necessary. As for the negative comments: there's a sign stating the facts of good cooking in a small kitchen.

We waited 30 minutes to be seated, and then another hour to have our food served. We both ordered french toast with a side of sausage. Last I checked, the directions for french toast were to soak it in an egg-milk mixture momentarily, and then cook for a few minutes. Pretty much every breakfast place on the planet, of all... More
