The beer cheese fondue is yummy. My veggie burger was homemade and piled high with goodies. Wish I would have had room for dessert.

Bluegrass Kitchen is a great little place. Sorta downscale, hippy, funky... with really excellent comfort food. Friendlly atmosphere with live music on the weekends.

The veggie burger, the rosemary fries, the chocolate tort!!! I cannot say enough about it. It's a fun, funky, delicious dining experience. One thing I would change? The tea...I am not a green tea fan...just regular iced tea please. A little pricey, but totally worth...More

Felt welcomed immediately by the staff. We enjoyed the atmosphere. Fantastic Mac and cheese, Reuben and homemade chips. You'll want to save room for dessert. All from scratch.

I am not a fan of Bluegrass Kitchen. I've been there probably 6-7 times. I've had the Perfect Chicken Sandwich, Black Bean Burrito w/ Chicken, Reuben, Corn Beef Hash and some other basic breakfast platter and some type of ravioli appetizer. It is very overpriced!...More

Description
Charleston's authentic farm-to-table made-from-scratch modern comfort food restaurant. With a legion of chefs who caringly practice the art of food, BgK offers delicious brunch, dinner, and desserts for hungry vegetarians, meat connoisseurs, and everyone in-between. In the circa 1920 building with pressed tin ceilings and exposed architecture, Bluegrass also serves as a gallery for local artists. In the Tap room there's live original acoustic music most nights, with finely crafted cocktails, a curated wine list & a bounty of beers. Close to West Virginia's beautiful capitol grounds the family-owned and operated Bluegrass Kitchen has been featured in The New York Times and Wall Street Journal as well as Bon Appetit, Garden & Gun, Taste of the South magazines and many more.
