We wanted to try Paterno's because we hadn't been there for a while. We eat out regularly in charleston and were kind of excited to try this place again. We walked in and no one was there to greet us. We waited 5 minutes and still no one. Finally a young lady came up to the entry and we asked... More

You will NEVER be disappointed at Paternos! Love this place! Great for lunch and dinner. I always get their wedge salad with chicken for lunch and gorgonzola dressing.....YUM! And I can't say enough great things about their dinner, portions and staff! Love this place!

Great place for dinner. The food was delicious. We loved the atmosphere. The staff was prompt and courteous. Great menu selection and the prices are very reasonable. We will definitely return.

Really looked forward to eating here. While the salmon dinner and polenta cake were delicious, the lasagna was lacking that creamy cheesiness that we longed for and the meat sauce was just different. Basil chicken was good and we will actually give this place another try because the staff was great and others have recommended it numerous times. Sometimes when... More

I stopped with my family for lunch as we were traveling through Charleston and we were really nicely surprised at the quality of food and service at Paterno's. It is in an unusual location, inside the ballpark, with parking across the street, but well worth the bit of a hunt to find it! The soups, salads, and sandwiches were all... More

There were four of us in our party for a family Christmas meal. Everyone raved about their dinner selections and were most pleased with the taste and presentation. Our server was attentive, pleasant, and helpful with questions about menu items. A very pleasant visit, although some sound absorption panels would create a better atmosphere by lowering the noise level.

Me and my wife went there for New Years dinner, service was great. My wife ordered the beef wellington which she loved. I ordered short ribs which the menu said comes with pasta and fresh vegetables. My ribs came wrapped in pasta that was so undercooked it was not edible. My "fresh vegetables" was literally 2 baby carrots. They gave... More

I went here with some friends while visiting them in Charleston. It seemed a little out-of-the-way (especially in terms of parking,) but the meal and service were excellent. I imagine on a baseball night that it would would be crowded and loud. The menu has a large variety, and everything I tried was very tasty. My lasagna was fantastic. The... More
