My wife and I arrived at the restaurant at 8 pm on Friday 10/9/2020. We stood at the 'Please wait to be seated' sign for 10 minutes and watched three staff members do everything, except acknowledge us, including one staff member who was busily chatting...with customers at a table right next to where we were standing. We'll never know how the food or service was because we left with a bad taste in our mouths from our disappointing visit. A simple 'Hello - we'll be right with you' could have changed our whole visit.More

Staff not very welcoming. Food was ok. Offers indoor and outdoor seating. Offers some local beers and a pretty standard bar-food menu.

Stopped in for a quick bite on our way through town. Always consistent, great service and good people everywhere. Get the pepperoni rolls!

None of the servers were wearing masks or ensuring that patrons were masking up when moving around. Food was uninspired.

Wicked Wilderness is a great addition to Davis. Sandra is lovely...and is very accommodating to meet a special request! Such a nice gal. We had the privilege of meeting owners Eric and Donna- and really enjoyed some great conversation and shared stories about all our...fun Canaan adventures over the years. This new addition to the scant Davis restaurant scene has some really great things going for it. The sleek, sparkling clean industrial farmhouse decor is refreshing. The hospitality is warm. The smoke deck is a nice touch- separated from the front door and outdoor dining areas! The food needs some tweaks- our steaks were a bit overcooked (err on the undercooked side when you order) and seasoning needs a bit more intensity, however the salmon cakes were awesome- need to add that as a sandwich or slider for sure!! All the slight negatives aside, the plentiful cold drinks and friendly, laid back vibe make up for it. I hope they find their niche in this landscape of limited options! I will be happy to see them on my next visit to Canaan!More

Listen, coming from a service industry background, I’m understanding.... BUT I found the staff here to be offensive. This is related to food allergies and being politically correct/not a rude jerk. As far as the food, it was fine (what I got to actually eat.)...I wouldn’t suggest this place if you have food allergies or especially preferences because I don’t think they would take them seriously. I saw gluten free things marked, so I asked if getting a burger and fries without a bun would be GF. The server/bartender said yes. The food comes out and the fries look buttered so I asked. He says they are sort of, but not really. I ask if they are GF and he proceeded to ask me if I was a “glu-tard” or actually have an issue where I can’t have gluten.... I was completely thrown off. I informed him I have Celiac’s and he concluded I shouldn’t eat the fries. I asked for a salad to replace the friend and he charged me $3 extra for it. So the issue here is not the beer battered fries. Or that the he forgot they weren’t GF too. Or even that he charged me to the salad. It’s the language and the investigation into my medical history. You can’t ask someone who comes in with a service dog what their disability is and to prove it. It’s a private matter. I mean did he want me to call up my doctor? Pull up my medical history, lab and genetic reports? If I came in asking for vegan food, would they call me a “veg-tard?” I mean come on, show a little maturity.More

Went early, around 5 p.m., and was seated immediately. Draft Beer selection is very good. Had the fish and chips and couldn't finish it. Was supposed to be two pieces of Cod and some fries. Got three pieces of fish and a whole plate of...potatoes. Even with my Wife's help it was just too much.More

We went to Wicked Wilderness to watch the Mountaineers play while we were staying in Dry Fork. The place was laid back, the food was good, and the beer selection was nice. We had a good time there, and the bartender was very friendly. Would...definitely go back again.More

I'll go VERY AVERAGE. Food choices limited and somewhat bland. Loaded Nachos were stale, dried out and not good. Got the broccoli cheddar soup bread bowl and it was very so so. Apple BBQ pulled pork was amazing, as was my daughter's pepperoni rolls. Great...place to watch a ball game and staff was wonderful.More
