They are down to Fri/Sat all day and Sun morn breakfast/brunch due to downturn in business over the last few years. Very nice view of the mountain.Walking distance to the runway for the small local airport. Small hotel in same building. Evening meals recommend the...chicken grilled dishes. Breakfasts are very good. All the help is very local, very friendly and very nice people. Coffee is good by the way.More
Good breakfast. Had eggs, sausage, homefries, toast and pancake. Nothing special just good plain old breakfast
Server was friendly and met all our needs with a smile. Nice views from restaurant. Would go again
We had dinner at Amelia's on our first rainy night in Davis. It is part of the Wildwood Inn, not far off Rt 32. My wife ordered the 3 piece fried chicken with vegetables and I had the ribs with fries. Our server, like every...server we met in WV, was friendly and professional. She started us with a nice mixed greens salad and very tasty dinner rolls. The chicken was very crisp, I could clearly hear each bite, and my wife thought the vegetables were very fresh. My ribs were tender and delicious with just a hint of spice. The fries were good too. The restaurant has a nice view of a small airport and the Canaan Valley but it was tough to see in all the rain. Regardless, Amelia's is an out of the way place that is worth the search.More
The food is quite good here and reasonably priced. Servers are friendly and the wait time is not very long.Dining room is large for the area and the view is beautiful towards the mountain. Worth checking out.
Decent restaurants are hard to come by in the Canaan Valley. We happened upon Amelia’s during an afternoon drive and decided to give it a try.
Our first impression wasn’t the best. The restaurant’s interior is a bit dated and tired looking. The menu is...small.
However, when the food came out we were pleasantly surprised. We were served great big portions of fresh and well prepared food. We both ordered salads...one chicken and one steak, both perfectly prepared. Salads came with a hearty piece of Texas toast.
The service was quick and friendly.
My only “complaint” would be that the restaurant adds a service fee if you are using a credit/debit card. I don’t care for that business practice.
Other than that, I recommend Amelia’s for a really good meal!More
This is our third annual spring visit to Amelia's while visiitng the Canaan Valley area. Our service was very good and the meals were delicious. Fresh salad and cole slaw, homemade dinner rolls and tasty ribs. Never disappointed!
