I’ve been all over WV and I’m ashamed of even thinking I was going to ow of the finest establishments in Davis, WV. The lady who seemed to be the main boss. She’s rude, arrogant and vents to the customers how she isn’t responsible enough...to handle 10 total guests. The food is served at a bare minimum. So whatever the price you can bet it’s bare minimum. My salad wouldn’t fit a saucer which is what it’s served upon. What a joke. The ribs they served looked raw at the bone and completely burnt on the outside. What pork have you ever seen burnt looks red at the bone. What a joke. The salad pictured is a house salad. I was so upset with this establishment and the rudeness of the manager I couldn’t even take pictures of what was called a jumbo shrimp on the surf n turf. Ashamed to say this place is considered one of the towns finest establishments. I’ve been served better at home from a 2 star establishment. Not to mention I never had to listen to the manager complain about assisting 10 people. Do not nor will I ever recommend this so called establishment. However, our waitress was sweet and did her part.More

Atmosphere is very quaint and interesting. The waitress was great, personable, efficient but did not hover. Food was very good and we will go back.

Stopped in on a Wednesday during our stay in Davis. This was burger night specials. We both had burger plates with seasoned fries and a side salad. Best well done burger we have ever had as they were done to perfection. Juicy and flavorful. Roasted...peppers and mushrooms on one and the other with smoked bacon. Yummy! Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. Will definitely make this a place to stop and eat the next time we come.More

can't review as it was closed on Tuesday & the next night when we went back a small typed notice in the window advised that they were closed until further notice due to staffing problems. Lady A was not pleased.....

My family of 5 were attracted by the Steakhouse sign of Muttley’s. Muttley’s is a dark and somewhat dirty place. Unfortunately they had a fan blowing air from the outside and people were sitting smoking cigarettes right outside the window. The cigarette smoke wafted in...and was reminiscent of a 70’s era restaurant. The waitress was polite, but the food was very slow. There were only 8 other diners in the restaurant and it took 45 minutes for our entrees to come out. The water pitcher had tap water without ice. The salads were good, but some of the lettuce was slimy and clearly old. We had the grilled oysters - OK in quality. For a main course, opinions were mixed. I had the lamb and fresh vegetables - both were tasty. My wife had chicken that she said was rubbery and unappetizing. My son had a steak which was fair. My daughter had the same chicken dish with the same results. Lastly my son had pasta which he thought was great, though he will literally “eat anything”. Prices were definitely steep for what we got. We had wanted an eclectic, good meal. We got a meal that was less than average. If our experience is typical I recommend passing on this place. I can’t understand why this restaurant has had the positive reviews.More

We really enjoyed a delicious steak dinner at Muttley’s! The salad was fresh and delicious. The vegetables were unique and expertly cooked. Peach dumplings were amazing and our server brought it with a candle since my friends were celebrating their anniversary. We thought the atmosphere...was cozy. We especially liked the white tablecloths. Very nice wine pours also!More

We enjoyed the $1.25 an ounce New York Strip on our last night at Canaan Valley. The steak was excellent. However - do NOT order appetizers. The Rumaki and the Shrimp Cocktail were terrible - $8.95 for each with very small portions (5 Rumaki and...5 shrimp). I was somewhat disappointed in the side - brussels sprouts and kale in a cream sauce was the description from our server. However, when I tasted the dish, it appeared very thinly sliced but raw or maybe slightly steamed. I could not taste any cream sauce. When I asked, the server said there was a drizzle. Not sure but was expecting a dish similar to creamed spinach. The steak fries were excellent - homesliced potatatoes. The evening was enjoyable talking to the server and hostess. We closed the restaurant down that evening.More
