Located on the edge of Fayetteville’s funky downtown district, Secret Sandwich Society is located in a deceptively large building. When you realize you have to descend a flight of stairs to get to the dining area you realize it isn’t very large, especially compared to the demand! Trust me, when you’re waiting an hour for a table at 2:30pm on... More

The sandwiches are delicious! It was hard to choose what to get. They all sounded so good. Fresh ingredients and well prepared. I felt like i was eating food from a expensive place. Friendly attentitive staff as well.

Super cool location. Multi-level old house. My husband and I went on a Saturday night and were seated within five minutes. The menu consisted of everything from salads to burgers to unique sandwiches. The sandwiches were named after former Presidents and the salads were named after former First Ladies. The pimento cheese fries are to die for! I had the... More

Packed night. Told a 20-minute wait for table. Ok, no problem. Went to the bar upstairs - nice place - had a beer and waited 30 minutes. Never got a text. Went downstairs to check and they had nothing open yet. We got seated shortly thereafter. We waited another 20 minutes before the waiter made his first appearances. 20 minutes... More

I love finding hole in the wall eatery's so I decided to give this place a chance after visiting the New River Gorge Bridge. Upon arrival there was very little parking. We came in the restaurant and it was very crowded but there was only 1 waitress that we saw. After waiting a while. We were finally seated on the... More

The food was aveage at best. Service was slow. The owner/manager was unbelievable, rude and very opinionated.

Stopped by on a whim after reading a review in WV Living. It was great, on low carb diet and had to skip the great selection of sandwiches for a wonderful cup of home made soup and a kale salad. Both were great. Nice stop on Rt 19 on way to interstate 79.

We stopped for supper as we travelled down Rt 19. Great menu. So many interesting choices. We had soup - tomato bisque and a creamy spinach. Both delish. We ordered the Fillmore and the McKinley sandwiches - awesome. Homemade chips. Good portions. Pleasant staff.

Saw the ad in the West Virginia 2017 State Travel Guide and decided to give it a try as we traveled home after viewing the New River Gorge Bridge. It was round 3:00 pm but it took forever and the food was barely ok. The sandwiches are named after Presidents, but they did not even have some of the them... More

We visited over Bridge Day weekend and even though it was a very busy time of year, the service was prompt, the food was delicious, and the setting was cool. We will definitely be back!
