We drive past this place all the time and decided to try on a Friday night. WHAT a joy! Not only was it decorated to the teeth for Christmas - the food was really really good. I had the almond crusted Salmon, broccoli and baked sweet potato. All very nicely prepared. The salmon was perfectly prepared along with the broccoli... More

I have seen some really bad reviews for this place... but it is a family restaurant that has been around since 1963 and it is eclectic... and if you are bothered by the Christian overtones (placemats that have bible verses on them) then dont go there. Another reviewer on yelp made a good point. If you go to a Chinese... More

Stopped here for dinner on our way back home. Prices reasonable and food pretty good. We tried the pumpkin cider but didn't really taste the pumpkin but was ok. Hubby tried the dressing bites for an appetizer, deep fried dressing with gravy to dip in - not bad. For the main course I had the fried shrimp which were frozen... More

Traveling thru & noticed quite a few cars at 1pm at this restaurant, so this was the pick of the day! So glad it was! Very eclectic with antiques and stained glass everywhere, just beautiful! Wide variety of Menu choices, breakfast, steak, fish, burgers, etc. The salmoon was delicious as was the special of the day. God Bless their Christian... More

We always stop here for lunch while traveling. The crab soup is delicious, and the sandwiches are fine. The salads are fresh. Avoid the mac-and-cheese side, however, if you're expecting a "cheesy" mac-and-cheese. It didn't taste homemade. Service is friendly, but can be slow during peak hours.

The building was well if not overly decorated. Felt like a step back in time. Menu quite diverse for all meals. The food was excellent and staff equally as good. Felt right at home.

We stopped here for lunch today, although we have eaten here several times on our way to Winchester Va. We have always had good service and a good home cooked meal. Have tried several things on the extensive menu, today just a hamburger and fries, which were served quickly and with a friendly server. In the past have enjoyed and... More

The menu is long, like a diner, but the decor is a collection of "country" memorabilia and antiques. Our kid sat on the seat of a horse-buggy that was turned into a bench at our table. Nice Tiffany lamps throughout. The place is on US340 several miles from Charles Town, WV. We've driven by many times and are glad we... More

We have eaten at john's twice, once for breakfast and once for dinner. Breakfast was excellent, the sausage gravy and biscuits were very good with great favor. Dinner not so great. My wife had crab cakes, very good. I had a New York strip that had way too much tenderizer, stomach distress! Avoid their meat!
