I am a long time customer, and have been frequenting Tom Sawyers since Dan opened the place. I have had breakfast, lunch and dinner on many occasions. The food has always been pretty good, with very large portions. The fish fry has always been very good. Service has always been an issue with lots of turn over in bar and... More

This is a nice locally owned bar/restaurant. The food is very good. They also have a good happy hour weekdays from 3-6. The owner is always there making sure you are taken care of.

Friday night fish fry, had three piece haddock nice size pieces good taste but breading was soggy that is why 4 stars. Wife had a fajita and loved it. The barmaid can really make a mean Oldfashion . Prices were not bad, if we're in the area we will stop in.

We only had one cocktail here, but it was mixed right and the owner/manager was very friendly. He was promoting the restaurant across the street (which seemed a but strange since they served food also). We didn't eat, but a lot of people walked out with to-go boxes, so it must have been generous amounts and "left-over worthy". It was... More

Not to be confused with Huck Finn's around the corner, this place is smaller and has more of a family tavern feel to it. It does have seating outside by the water, and 2 levels of seating inside, including a long bar. We went for lunch, and I ordered the lunch item by which I measure a restaurant: the reuben.... More

Sorry to say we never got to try the fish fry that we heard was so good. It looked good as it went by. Sat outside where it was very pleasant. We ordered the fish fry, but 70 minutes passed and we still didn't have our food. Even the waitress had stopped coming by to apologize for taking so long.... More

This place was recommended to us after we went on the Mississippi Ricer Cruise. The food was delicious and the service was great. We had the cheese curds for an appetizer. Could have been a meal in its self. We had the jerk chicken and a hamburger. Way too much food for lunch. We would definitely recommend the outdoor seating.... More
