Good authentic German food is getting harder to find, even in Milwaukee. Kegel's always makes the grade. My wife had weinerschnitzel and I had pork shanks with knodel both dishes were superb. Service was excellent, never an empty beer glass. I highly recommend Kegel's.

Came here on election night was there only 2 other tables occupied due to election night. Kathy was a great wait-staff, friendly and gracious. A glass of beer could be had for $4.5 - great deal. Dinner meals were reasonable too, topping out at $30 with soup or salad. Roast duck with dressing wasn't crispy as I had hoped, but... More

Oh my - oh my!!! If have ever been to Germany and miss the food, then Kegel's Inn will satisfy your craving for German food. The schnitzel and hefe weizen is some of the best I have ever tasted. When I am in town, I always try to get at least one meal at Kegel's Inn.

Hands down, the best roast duck ever. I love duck and almost didn't order it as I've been disappointed at other places, but this was definitely delicious. Lots of good choices and large portions which they don't mind if you split. Went twice in 3 days.

Authentic German food Weiner Schnitzel, Sauerbraten, Potatao Pancakes, Red Cabbage. However you must try the roast duck. The best selection of imported German beers. Run by 4th generation family this place has Speakeasy roots. IT opened in 1924 and is traditional in it's looks.

Granted it was a Friday Fish Fry night in Milwaukee, however it was not a pleasant experience! We had a reservation for 8:00pm for a party of 7 (6 adults & 1 child)..we were told when we approached the host that our table was not ready yet..even tho we could see empty tables that would seat us. The host kept... More

We used to live near this great German Restaurant. We still make several trips to truly enjoy this hidden gem. Don't go to Downtown Milwaukee for German cuisine. Try one of there delicious soups. Yes I truly enjoy the boneless duck with dumpling/ gravy & redt cabbage.

In town for a visit and had the traditional fish fry - doesn't matter what type of restaurant you patronize in Milwaukee on a Friday night - they have a fish fry! The setting and ambience is mom and pop old world. Service is excellent and prices are a great value. Next visit I'll go with the German cuisine- fish... More

Good, traditional, German food in a classic setting that's both casual and classy. White tablecloth dining without pretension.
