We visit this out of the way restaurant quite often with the family. Service is great, food is fabulous. Their dumplings are so yummy.

We have wanted to try the fish fry ever since our daughter was married here in May 2014, as the wedding food was exceptional (especially the chicken). Our first attempt was during Lent 2016, and the wait was a minimum of 2 hours! We were hungry, so we opted to eat elsewhere. Last night we were able to get there... More
We ate at Dorf Haus while vacationing with friends in the Dells. We arrived just at 5:00,before the dinner rush, and were warmly greeted by Jim who gave us a walking tour of the restaurant and regaled us with local history while we enjoyed his delicious brandy old fashioneds. We then moved to our table where Kerry provided us with... More
This is a true supper club with all of the best things a supper club dreams to be. The atmosphere was homey and cozy, the drinks were very good and the food was delicious. Service was evenly paced and we had a nice quiet dinner and a true supper club drink for dessert... a grasshopper. It was truly a great... More
We were looking for a fish fry and were recommend to go here. Fish was great. Served family style. Nice salad bar, which is extra. Staff very friendly.
We stayed with friends and went here for dinner.. we arrived when opened and still had to wait 20 min. to be seated so I would suggest a reservation as super busy.. and can understand why as the food and service is great! The bread basket outstanding! I would of just eaten that! The fish fry was great... really cool... More
Although I've enjoyed the fish fry here several times, this visit was after a paddling trip on nearby Fish Lake on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. My partner tried the Schweinhaxen and I had the Rahmschnitzel (with an excellent lemon caper dill sauce). Both were very good, and the Spatzle side is always a treat. Our server was friendly and helpful.
Coming to the Dorf Haus is as much sentimental to me as it is good food. I grew up going to the Friday night fish fries with my parents and grandparents once every couple of months and always looked forward to it. 40 year later and I am taking my friends, wife and own daughter because it is still good.... The food was very good, wish that we lived closer to be able to sample more items. We had the chicken and ham Sunday specials was very good. We had no complaints from the coleslaw to the chicken and ham every thing was delicious. Will go back for the German food when we can.
