We stopped at South Fork on our way back from the Bighorns nine years ago. The idea was to rest and clean up before the drive back to MN. Holly, the owner, gave us a tour and let it be known that she ran the kitchen. The food was great. So good we had dinner and breakfast the next morning.... More

My kids and I went for the 2 hour ride yesterday with Laura - even though it rained (which hasn't happened since May) we had a great time! Great trail, great horses and had great food too at the restaurant... (Food was a little pricey but good!). My kids wanted to go back in for hot cocoa after the ride... More

We've lunched here many times. The fish tacos are super, as is the chicken salad. The atmosphere is the best and mountain setting is stunning.

Went for an awesome horse back ride in the Big Horn Mountains with Laura as our wrangler. She was very knowledgeable about the mountains and flowers. Rode for 2 hours, crossing the creek twice, and to the top of a ridge looking out over Cloud Peak Wilderness. Horses were in great shape, barn and area clean. Ate lunch at the... More

This is a mountain lodge with quaint rustic restaurant. Price to value isnt there, however--has average entrees sandwiches ($11-14), great desserts ($7) on lunch menu. My prime rib sandwich was good ($14) simply hoagie bun, meat, and sweet potato fries in the typical paper/plastic basket. No pickle, tomato, lettuce or other condiments. Elk burger (~$13) is "different if you've never... More

Great setting right in The Bighorn Mountains! Great Mom & Pop run Lodge. Can get in touch with one of the rustic cabins it's like going back in time like roughing it in the early days OR get an updated cabin that is wonderful. Great food @ Lodge & pleasant, helpful employees that can direct you on how to fill... More

Decided to eat here before our 2-hour horseback ride we were taking here as well. I got pancakes my sister got eggs the pancakes were not light and fluffy they were thick and heavy not very good. My sister enjoyed her eggs more. went to pay for our 2-hr horseback ride where the website had stated 65.00 but the woman... More

We spent 3 nights and 4 days here on a family vacation in the big horns. It was awesome! Something for each family member. The food was great, the service was exceptional the accommodations were clean and wonderful and more than expected. The best part was the trail ride! Description
Great chef who is there in the summer (works in Miami the rest of the year). His menu is exciting. Starting the a shrimp martini appetizer, churrasco steak dinner and homemade fruit pies for dessert, this place is an amazing find out in the forest. Great cabins to stay in, too.
