Definitely have the elk tenderloin and the rack of lamb! The elk appetizer was amazing! Service was exceptional! Best meal we had on our vacation!

We did not have a good experience the night we ate there. Our waiter was barely even polite, much less friendly, and the manager had to come out and explain to our party of 5 couples that the only way we could pay was to...More

The Blue Lion offers a wonderful selection of fish and meat entrees. The service is attentive, well trained and most helpful. The Blue Lion's elegant but relaxed ambiance makes it a regular stop for us when we are in Jackson.

The food, service, and atmosphere were awesome. We ordered a wide variety of selections ranging from the Salmon, to Bison filet, Elk tenderloin and the Lamb. I would highly recommend the Lamb. All the other meals were exceptional.

We are visiting and ate here for New Years’s Eve Dinner. Good food and good service. There was a special menu for NYE, you got an appetizer, salad/soup, entree, and dessert for about $80, I think. Would recommend.

We absolutely loved the Blue Lion. My husband and I shared the rack of lamb and thank goodness we did. We had more than enough to eat. The lamb was perfectly cooked and tender. Overall awesome dinner.

So, it wasn’t quite the experience I had hoped for but regardless the rack of lamb was the best I’ve ever had . I started the meal by finding a long hair in my salad. The wait staff handled it appropriately and bought my wine...More

Ned has been providing fine dining for decades, and this place never gets old. Rack of lamb is the signature dish, and is not to be missed. Good wine list as well.

Great place and we loved their off season discount (2 for 1 entree). Food is delicious. We had table upstairs and I think it’s the best place in restaurant because it’s not noisy like downstairs and feels so cozy. Service was really good and server...More

I don’t think they have a parking lot, thee should be public lots nearby, we walked from our hotel.

They did have some vegan options on their menu! They do have a website, with the most current menu on it! I'd check there for what they serve! Jackson is very, vegan friendly at most venues!

The Blue Lion was built as a residential home in the late 1930's, in 1974 it became The Tourist Trap restaurant and then in 1976 The Blue Lion. I bought it in 1978 after graduating college. The Blue Lion has evolved a lot since the early days. We continue to add and change dishes semi-annually. The lamb, elk and fresh fish are our biggest sellers. There was a restaurant in southern California where I grew up that served mud pie and my mother made a home made hot fudge sauce which we incorporated into our own version of mud pie, a local favorite. The restaurant has been enlarged several times, the upstairs dining, the kitchen, the waiting area and the outdoor deck. In the winter The Blue Lion can accommodate 60 diners at one time. In the summer we open the deck enabling us to accommodate 80 diners. We are open nightly at 5:30 and usually feature an acoustical guitarist as entertainment.
