A charming restaurant set in a lovely cottage. The menu was fantastic with lots of fine dining options and a truly spectacular drinks menu. They had live music while I was there and it made it all the more memorable. Although roast lamb is their...More

My wife does the restaurant research. This place was a gem!! Cute historic house. Amazing appetizers. Entrees come with a Hugh salad (get sesame vinaigrette). Main courses are absolutely delicious and large. A must while in Jackson

Had dinner at Blue Lion a few weeks ago while skiing at Jackson Hole. We read reviews online and were expecting a lot. Two days earlier we ate at Wild Sage and were blown away by every aspect of that meal. We were expecting a...More

Food was delicious, but small portions and very pricey. Service was awesome. Please don't bring children to this expensive restaurant where tables are elbow to elbow. We had lamb and elk. Well prepared, but not memorable.

I don’t think they have a parking lot, thee should be public lots nearby, we walked from our hotel.

They did have some vegan options on their menu! They do have a website, with the most current menu on it! I'd check there for what they serve! Jackson is very, vegan friendly at most venues!

Description
The Blue Lion was built as a residential home in the late 1930's, in 1974 it became The Tourist Trap restaurant and then in 1976 The Blue Lion. I bought it in 1978 after graduating college. The Blue Lion has evolved a lot since the early days. We continue to add and change dishes semi-annually. The lamb, elk and fresh fish are our biggest sellers. There was a restaurant in southern California where I grew up that served mud pie and my mother made a home made hot fudge sauce which we incorporated into our own version of mud pie, a local favorite. The restaurant has been enlarged several times, the upstairs dining, the kitchen, the waiting area and the outdoor deck. In the winter The Blue Lion can accommodate 60 diners at one time. In the summer we open the deck enabling us to accommodate 80 diners. We are open nightly at 5:30 and usually feature an acoustical guitarist as entertainment. Let Chef Tony Duren, Sous Chef Zach Swim and the rest of our team treat a wonderful Night.
