4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed yesterday NEW

The only reason I'm giving this a 4 out of 5 is because the menu is egg heavy and I can't eat eggs. It's either french toast or eggs so I had toast with coffee. The rest of my party raved about their meals and my toast was thick cut and very good. It's a busy place so go early.

Worth the drive and arrive early for a great table! Both of us ordered the Ono (Wahoo Fish) Eggs Benedict, 100% Kona - Kahauloa Estates Coffee and their signature Lilikoi Mimosa. As always great friendly service.

Tough to not immediately mention that this the view into the valley and the sea is one of the most spectacular on the island. That alone gets 4 stars. Add great food served by a friendly, efficient staff and you have a wonderful place for breakfast or lunch. I stopped twice and had one of each. I suggest you do... More

My wife and I stopped here four times during our two week vacation in Hawaii. My wife an avid coffee snob loved the coffee and americanos. For me the pie was more than enough reason to stop by. The Kona Lime and Lilikoi cheesecake were the best dessert I had on the island. We also had sandwiches for lunch, they... More

We stopped at The Coffee Shack for a late lunch on the way home from the 'Two-Step' snorkeling site. He ramshackle appearance on the outside belies the incredible view from the patio. It's a busy place, with friendly staff. A simple menu of pizza and sandwiches, but everything is reasonably priced and the portions are very large. The sandwiches are... More

We had been told by a friend to visit for a meal here. We arrived about an hour before they closed for the afternoon. The service was fast and friendly. We each had a sandwich which we discovered were huge. Turns out we should have shared one. We both chose the luau bread which was delicious. One sandwich was roast... More

Had a good meal here. The sandwiches are great. There's a very rich passion fruit cheesecake which is awesome! The coffee I had, cappuccino, was delicious, all Kona coffee is wonderful.

We get to the big island usually every other year. Though we stay fairly upscale at our timeshare, we love getting to the old-Hawaiian-style Coffee Shack at least once every visit. Our kids have grown up feeding the geckos that like to sun themselves on the railings of the outdoor dining here. Simply put out a dab of jelly from... More

We visited based on many great reviews here and several other sites. When we arrived for breakfast we were greeted & allowed to chose our seats, which we appreciated to get a great view. The good was great! A little pricey but for the view, well worth it. Service was great. Everything was great. Totally recommend.
