Managing is the oldest restaurant in Hawaii. We ate breakfast. Papaya starter, toast or rice, 2 eggs, and choice of meat, my fave is Portuguese sausage. Great spot

The food came pretty fast. It was everything others have said, pork chops awesome! We were served 3 sides besides the soft, tender, juicy pork chops. It is worth coming out to eat this food!

Step back, at least, 50 years and you have the feel of the Hotel Manago in Captain Cook on the Big Island. Everything has the look and feel of a decades old time capsule. We did not stay there but had lunch. The pork chops...More

Home style cooking. Pork chips were "broke da mouth". So good we went there twice in three days. Butterfish in miso and the opakapaka sauteed in garlic and butter were great, too. Service was quick and efficient and very friendly.

We found the Manago to be a very reasonably priced stop during a field study of Hawaii with nine high school students. Nothing fancy but everything we needed. The staff was always helpful and patient. The family history of the place is all over the...More

I agree with the previous writer. Food and drinks are a bargain. The wine selection is very limited. Their menu is actually written on a blackboard, not printed. Two of us had lunch and drinks for $20.
